HomeMy WebLinkAbout1884 08-31-2010 ORDINANCE NO. 1884 AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE TAX ROLL FOR 2090; PROVIDING A SEVERA131UTY CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, on the 23"1 day of July, 2094„ the Tax Assessor-Collector for the City of Euless,Texas, presented the Council with a tax roll effective for the 2010 tax year:and WHEREAS, the Tarrant Appraisal District has established the appraised value of certain tracts of property located within the corporate boundaries of the City of Euless„ Taxes; and WHEREAS, the City of Euless finds It is in the best Interests of the City of Euless and the owners of those specific tracts to accept the tax roll as presented as to value submitted by the Euless Tax Assessor-Collector. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EULE , T S, THAT. SECTION 1 The tax roll for the City of Euless, Texas, as presented by the Euless Tax Assessor- Collector on the 23"1 day of July, 2010, as thereafter supplemented, is hereby adopted. SECTION 2 SEVERABILITY CLAUSE. That it is hereby declared to be the Intention of the City Council that the sections, paragraphs, sentences, clauses and phrases of this ordinance are severable, and if any phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph or section of this ordinance shall be declared unconstitutional itutional by the valid judgment or decree of any court of competent jurisdiction, such unconstitutionality shall not affect any of the remaining phrases, clauses, sentences, paragraphs and sections of this ordinance, since the same would have been enacted by the City Council without the incorporation in this ordinance of any such unconstitutional phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph or section. SECTION 3 EFFECTIVE DATE. This ordinance shall be in full farce and effect from and after its passage and publication as provided by the Euless City Charter and the laws of the State of Texas.
