AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO, 175 AND EXTENDING
THE BOUNDARY LIMITS AND ANNEXING CERTAIN TERRITORY
ADJACENT TO THE CITY OF EULESS, TEXAS; PROVIDING THAT
THE ORDINANCE BE PUBLISHED IN OFFICIAL CITY NEWSPAPER
TO BE PUBLISHED AT LEAST ONE TIME IN ACCORDANCE WITH
THE PROVISIONS OF THE EULESS CITY CHARTER; AND PRE -
SCRIBING AN EFFECTIVE DATE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EULESS, TEXASs
I.
THAT the territory particularly described by metes and bounds in
Exhibit "A ", attached and made a part hereof$ being situated in Tarrant
county, Texas, and lying adjacent to the City of Euless, is by annexed,
brought within the Corporate Limits and made an integral part" ° `6f the said
City of Euless.
II.
IT is not the intention of this Ordinance to annex, or attempt to annex
to the City of Euless any territory or land which has been„ prier to this
date, validly annexed to any other municipality. If any portion of the an-
nexation declared herein shall for any reason be held void or unconstitutional
by a Court of competent jurisdiction$ such invalidity shall not affect the
remaining area so annexed.
III.
THIS Ordinance is passed in amendment of Ordinance No. 175 by adding
thereto a severance clause are met forth in Paragraph II above and the land
area annexed by virtue of Ordinance Nov 175 is the same land area annexed
hereunder.
- IV.
THAT this Ordinance shall be published at least one time in the Daily
News Texan, the official newspaper for the City of Euless, Texas, in accordance
with the provisions of the Euless City Charter,
V.
THAT this Ordinance shall become effective and be in full force and effect
upon its final passage, which in no event shall be less than thirty (30) days
from the date of its first publication as aforesaid, and it is so ordained.
