A RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING AWARD OF A CONTRACT FOR
THE 40TH YEAR COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG)
PROJECT TO RJM CONTRACTORS IN THE AMOUNT OF $220,765.25
FOR ACCESSIBILITY IMPROVEMENTS FOR EULESS CITY HALL IN
EULESS, TEXAS.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Euless, Texas does hereby recommend
the award of a contract for the 40th Year CDBG Project to RJM Contractors in the amount
of $220,765.25 for accessibility improvements for Euless City Hall in Euless, Texas; and
WHEREAS, the 40' Year CDBG Project consists of accessibility improvements
for Euless City Hall; and
WHEREAS, the construction funds available through Tarrant County CDBG for
this project are $207,282.47; and
WHEREAS, the City of Euless will contribute funds in the amount of $13,482.78;
and
WHEREAS, Staff has reviewed the bid tabulation and based on supporting
documentation from Teague Nall and Perkins, Inc. (Exhibit "A "), recommends that
Tarrant County award the contract to the low bidder, RJM Contractors.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF EULESS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1.
The City of Euless, Texas City Council recommends award of a contract to RJM
Contractors for accessibility improvements for Euless City Hall in the amount of
$220,765.25 of which Tarrant County CDBG will pay $207,282.47 and the City of Euless
will pay $13,482.78.
SECTION 2.
This Resolution shall take effect immediately from and after its passage in
accordance with the Charter of the City of Euless and upon publication, and it is
accordingly so resolved.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Euless City Council on
March 22, 2016 by a vote of jg__7_ ayes, 0_ nays, and 0 abstentions.

The bid opening for the 4011, Year CDBG Accessibility Improvements for the Euless City Hall project was
held at the offices of Tarrant County Community Development on Wednesday, March 16, 2016. Two
formal bids were received and are provided in the attached bid tabulation.
The 3811i Year (Rollover) and 40th Year CDBG construction funds amount to $207,282.47 for
construction of this project.
Based on experience with the low bidder on projects of similar scope and size, we recommend that the
City of Euless recommend award of the contract for construction of the Accessibility Improvements for
Euless City Hall project to RJM Contractors. for the Total Base Bid of $220,765.25. Included with this
recommendation, the City of Euless must commit $13.482.78 in city funds to Tarrant County for
construction of the project.
