AN ORDINANCE PROCLAIMING A REWARD FOR THE ARREST
AND CONVICTION OF ANY PERSON, OR PERSONS, FOUND
GUILTY OF .COMMITTING THE CRIME OF ARSON WITHIN
THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF EULESS, TEXAS;
PROVIDING THAT THE REWARD I.S A STANDING OFFER AND
PROVIDING FOR PAYMENT FOR SAME; PROVIDING A
SEVERANCE CLAUSE AND FOR THE. PUBLICATION OF SUCH
ORDINANCE AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EULESS, TEXAS:
I
THAT the City. of Euless, Texas, hereby offers a reward of
TWO HUNDRED FIFTY AND NOIIOO DOLLARS ($250.00) for the arrest
and conviction of any person, or persons found guilty of
committing the crime of Arson within the Corporate Limits of
the City of Euless, Texas. This reward is a standing reward
offer, and shall be paid out of the General Fund of the City
of Euless upon authorization of the Euless City Council.
II.
THE fact that the City of Euless has no arson reward
ordinance and the fact that such an ordinance is needed to pro-
tect the public health, safety and welfare creates an emergency
and an imperative public necessity that the Euless City Charter
requirements providing that an ordinance be read on two regular
City Council meeting dates be suspended as an emergency measure
by the favorable vote of four (4) or more of the Euless City
Councilmen, and such vote being taken, such Ordinance shall be
in full force and effect from and after its adoption without a
Second Reading
