HomeMy WebLinkAbout217 03-10-1964ORDINANCE Nis. 217 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 33 IDENTIFIED AS THE TE �vIPO ARY COMPREHENSIVE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EULESS, TEXAS, PROVIDING FOR CHANGE OF DESIGNATION IN CERTAIN AREA AND AMENDING ZONING MAP TO CONFORM WITH SUCH AMENDMENT; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. V HEREAS, the Zoning Commission of the City of Euless, after con- sideration of application from Trinity Investment Company, owner of the real property hereinafter described, situated within said City, and having held a public hearing thereon in which all interested persons and owners of property In the vicinity of said realty were given ample and sufficient opportunity to be heard in connection with said application, having recommended to the City Council a change in the zoning designation of said tract, and as by law provided, publication of a Notice of Final Hearing on such recommenda- tion was made by publishing the same in the Daily News Texan the official newspaper of the City on the 7th day of February 1964, and after said public hearing being held in accordance with the said notice in which all owners of property in the City of Euless, Texas, were given ample and sufficient opportunity to be heard, the City Council deems it to be to the best interest of said City and its inhabitants that such recom- mendatio i he approved; NG"v'V, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY THE CITY -3F EULESS, TEXAS: T. IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that the Official District Zoning map of the City of Euless, Texas, being a part of Ordinance No. 33, be amended to read as follows: THAT the designation of a tract of land in the amity of Euless, Tarrant County, Texas, described as follows: A tract of land being a part of the J. P. Haiford Survey, Abstract No. 711, Tarrant County, Texas, and described as follows: BEGINNING at a point in the east line of Highway No. 157, said point being the Northwest corner of a 3.46 acre tract conveyed to �,J. T. Jones and wife by deed recorded in Vol. 2391, page 273 of the Deed Records of Tarrant County, Texas; THENCE North with east right of way line of highway 157 to a point which is the intersection of said east line and the south line of Count y Road No. 3011, a distance of 506.0 feet to an iron pipe for corner; THENCE along the south line of County Road No. 3011, South 870 36' East a distance of 492.5 feet to an iron pin for corner; THENCE South 00 32' West 494.6 feet to an iron pin for corner, which is the northeast corner of the above mentioned M. T. Jones 3.46 acre tract; THENCE 390 19' 'VVest 488.0 feet to the place of beginning, and containing 5.618 acres of land, now zoned ' R" Residential, be zoned "C" Commercial, in accordance with Grdi lances `3os. 33 and 153 and subsequent amendments thereto. 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage as by law provided. PRESENTEL` AND GIVEN FIRST READING on the 25th day of February , h964, at a Regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Euless, Texas; and given Second Reading, passed and approved on the 10th day of March , 1964, by a vote of _ 5 .
