AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ITENERANT VENDORS
AND PEDDLERS ORDINANCE NO. 105 BY THE ADDITION
OF SECTION X(a); PROVIDING A PENALTY; PROVIDING
FOR PUBLICATION; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY AND
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EULESS, TEXAS:
I.
That itenerant vendors and peddlers Ordinance No. 105 be, and the
same is hereby amended by the addition thereto of Section X (a) pertaining
to the authorized hours for sales and solicitations as follows:
"Section X (a) (1) . The terms and provisions of Ordinance No.
105 (a) are expressly made applicable to ice cream vendors,
snow cone vendors, candy and other confectionary vendors.
"Section X (a) (2) . No itenerant merchant, vendor, peddler
or salesman as these terms are defined in Ordinance No. 105
shall go from house to house or from place to place in the City
of Euless soliciting, selling or peddling between the hours of
7:3 0 p. m. and 8:3 0 a. m. , and it is hereby made a violation
of this Ordinance and is a fineable offense as set forth in paragraph
(2) of this Amending Ordinance for any such violation of hours
of operation or sales. "
Ii.
Any person, corporation, association, partnership or legal entity
violating any of the provisions of this Ordinance shall be deemed guilty
of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction shall be fined a sum not to exceed
Two Hundred ($200.00) Dollars.
III.
The fact that the present regulations with reference to itenerant
vendors and peddlers are deemed inadequate creates an urgency and an
emergency for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health,
comfort, safety and general welfare, and requires that this Ordinance shall
take effect immediately from and after its passage and publication, and it
is accordingly so ordained.

IV.
This Ordinance shall become effective and shall be in full force
and effect from and after the date of its adoption and publication as required
by the law and the Euless City Charter.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Euless, Texas, on this
24th day of August , 1965.
