HomeMy WebLinkAboutEuless Today 03/20111011 March Dear Citizens, Now that the holidays are over. we look forward to springtime. We hope you are taking advantage of all the services the city provides. The Euless Family Life Center is now open and the Senior Center has so many activities for seniors including health checkups and fitness programs along with games and luncheons. The Fitness Center is a popular spot for those keeping up their exercise programs. The Recreation Center continues to host out- standing programs for all ages. Assistant Police Chief Harland Westmoreland retired in January after thirty five years with the city. His cheerful smile, work ethics and innovative ideas will be sorely missed, but we wish him a wonderful retirement with his family. Volunteers are our Super Heroes. Thank you! • POO ioN of EULESS Saving Water Saves You Money In order to ensure we have enough water for future generations and to promote water conservation, the Euless City Council approved a tiered water rate that encourages efficient water use. The more water you conserve, the lower your rate. Outside activities such as watering lawns, filling pools and washing cars can account for up to 60percent of water use. Those who choose to increase their water use, will pay for additional water needed to keep up with the demand. Water is one of our most important natural resources and we must protect it. The tiered rate structure is designed to protect our water resources now and in the future. The City of Euless Utility Billing Office is committed to the privacy of its customers. As such, the office has enacted a privacy policy that is designed for your protection. To view the complete privacy policy, please visit www.EulessTX.gov/water or call 817-685-1471.
