Community Powered Revitalization (CPR)
Do you have peeling paint? Damaged
siding? Overgrown landscaping? A
leaking roof? Maybe we can help!
For the past three years, volunteers from
local churches and businesses have
come together to help struggling
families make repairs to their homes in
an effort known as the Euless
Revitalization program. Due to the
amazing growth and community
support of the ER Program, other cities
have expressed interest in expanding the
program into their neighborhoods. As a
result of joining forces with these other
local communities, the ER program has
evolved into the Community Powered
Revitalization (CPR) program. Our
next repair blitz will take place
October 14 and 15 in Hurst, Euless
and Bedford neighborhoods. If you
own your home and meet any of
the following conditions, you may
be able to receive free assistance in
repairing your home.
o Disabled o Over age 62
o Low income o Single head of
household with
minors
At our last event, hundreds of
volunteers from the community
helped to repair homes in just one
weekend. In October, we will be
focusing on exterior repairs for
homes in your neighborhood. If
your owner -occupied home is in
need of this type of work, and you
meet at least one of the program
qualifications shown above, please
submit an application as quickly as
possible.
For more information about the
CPR program, please call 817-685-
1821 or visit www.6Stones.org.

Though it is rusted, its strength and fortitude
is not diminished.
Though it is weathered, it is powerful.
Though it is scarred, it is solid.
Though it is scorched, it is still resilient.
The perpetual flame radiates our devotion to
the United States of America.
It glows fervently with pride and admiration.
It reflects our patriotism and love of this country.
It burns with dignity and honor.
We will honor those who sacrificed their lives.
Our hearts will heal.
We will remember.
9-11 Artifact
The City of Euless is now the proud owner of an artifact from the World Trade Center. The artifact is a
12 -foot long, 6,000 -pound steel beam that is a relic from the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. This
artifact will be displayed in front of the Euless Fire Administration Building as a memorial to the thou-
sands killed that tragic day. The memorial will be complete by the tenth anniversary of September 11,
2001. May we never forget!
Please join us for a ceremony on Sunday, September 11, 2011 at 7:30 a.m. commemorating the 10th an-
niversary of the terrorist attacks on our nation on September 11, 2001. A significant portion of the cer-
emony will occur at the time of the first attack on the World Trade center at 8:46 a.m. Eastern Time (7:46

Dave Walser of Beatlegras
in Concert
Sept. 26, 7 p.m.
Euless Library, 201 N. Ector Dr.
James Taylor once referred to the 60's in a tongue-in-
cheek manner as "The Great Folk Scare." Everyone
who had a guitar was a singer/songwriter. Some
were pretty good at it and became famous.
As a part of the ARTSNET Masterworks Series, Dave
Walser will be performing songs from his current
album in progress called Of Beatles, Dylan and the
Great Folk Scare. The songs are classic folk songs
from Lennon/McCartney, Bob Dylan, James Taylor
and others.
Walser remarked, "They were songs of great poetry
and messages of change in a unique era of peace and
love. It was a time of change and moving forward
with civil rights. And it was a time that I grew up in.
I love those old songs and will be bringing my own
nostalgic influences to a show I look forward to."
