places on the
second Saturday in
May with early
voting before. We
are fortunate in Texas to have early
voting for two weeks prior to
Election Day. The times and
schedules are listed here and early
voting will take place in the Euless
Library. On Election Day, May 12,
2012, there will be voting in the
Euless Library as well as Bear Creek
Elementary School. Please exercise
your right to vote!
The summer reading program at
the Library is almost here and I
hope many of you will join the
program and enjoy our Library this
summer. The Library continues to
have educational as well as
entertaining programs for all our
citizens.
Enjoy our springtime and do get
out and enjoy our parks and
recreational activities and
volunteer your services for the
many activities provided by the

The City of Euless will hold the City Council candidates election on
Saturday, May 12, 2012, to elect Council Members to serve in Place 5 and

Police Summer Camp
June 4-10 or June 11-15, 9 a. m.-1 p.m.
The Police department hosts two week-long camps for kids living in
Euless ages 10-12. Registration is free and each camp session is limited
to 50 children. Camp participants will learn team building, bicycle
safety and navigation skills. As a special treat, Police Chief Mike Brown
will cook lunch for everyone on the last day. For applications, please

This summer readers of all ages can sign up to earn prizes
for reading. The library will offer many fun programs for
kids and families. A complete calendar will be available
May 1.

trimming. The Euless Animal Shelter will have
pets available for adoption. You can visit the

The 2009 Youth Volunteer of the Year GAP Club
is an all -girl service club devoted to the Animal
Shelter. These ladies work tirelessly to adopt pets
from the animal shelter, which significantly
reduces the euthanasia rate. They host
fundraisers to pay for vaccinations, spay,
neutering, and other medical needs. In addition,
the teens foster pets and spend their free time in
the shelter to walk, groom, and care for the pets
that reside there. Please come out and support
this great group.

Movies in the Park
The City of Euless will show great family movies
in our beautiful parks this summer. Bring your
favorite pillow and blanket to stretch out under
the stars. Free popcorn and refreshments are
available while watching a movie in our parks.
Please help the fight against local hunger by
bringing one canned good per person to be
donated to the 6Stones and First United
Methodist Church food pantries.

children active and entertained with the City of
Euless Summer Camp Program. Proof of residency
is required (photo ID and current utility bill). A $10
non-refundable, non-transferrable deposit is due
per week, per participant at the time of registration.
Registration will remain open until weeks are filled,
at which time your child can be placed on a waiting
list at no charge. A registration packet will be
available on line at www.eulesstx.gov/pacs.
