Dear Citizens,
We hope this will be
a great summer for
you, and you will
take special safety
precautions in your
activities. The Euless
Family Life Center
offers a number of
summer camps to keep your
children engaged during the
summer. While planning some of
your summer activities, do take
advantage of the great outdoor
movies in the park. You can find
out about them on page 5 of this
newsletter.
We are so excited about our future
in the economic development
arena. Please read about U.S.
Concrete relocating their
headquarters in the Redi-Mix
regional headquarters on Main
Street in Euless. Redi-Mix has been
a long time corporate resident of
Euless, and we are pleased to
welcome U.S. Concrete to Euless.
We have two important events at
City Hall for citizens to add their
suggestions to the Council. The
Water Forum on Thursday, June 7,
and the Town Hall meeting on
Thursday, June 14, to review
budget items.
TOGETHER WE ARE BUILDING A
BETTER TOMORROW FOR OUR
CITIZENS.

US Concrete Adds Jobs to Euless Headquarters
US Concrete, Inc. (NASDAQ: USCR)
is relocating its Houston corporate
headquarters to Euless in order to
co -locate with the Redi-Mix Regional
Headquarters, a U.S. Concrete
subsidiary. Redi-Mix is located in
Euless at 331 North Main Street. The
current Euless facility will become
the Corporate Headquarters and a
Primary Job Training Facility. Redi-
Mix currently employs 250 workers
and expects to gain 46 professional
level jobs due to the relocation. US
Concrete predicts the company will
save money and make day-to-day
operations more efficient by
relocating. The move is expected to
be complete by July 1, 2012.
City Manager Gary McKamie said,
"Redi-Mix has been a crucial
business partner with Euless for
many years and we are excited to see
them expand. Relocating the
Corporate Headquarters to Euless
will promote new business
development within the city."
US Concrete was founded in 1999
and based in Houston. The
company has multiple business
segments: ready -mixed concrete,
concrete -related products and

CONCRETE
precast concrete products. These
segments service the construction
industry in several major United
States markets. US Concrete has a
company -wide commitment to
improve the environment by
requiring the use of their developed
4 process, EF Technology. EF
Technology is a process that uses
alternative cementitious materials
that results in the reduction of
greenhouse gases. This resource
v saving process not only produces
greener and more sustainable
concrete mixes, but also stronger
and more durable concrete
products. In 2010, they produced
approximately 3.8 million cubic
yards of ready -mixed concrete and
reduced over 1,500,000 tons of
carbon dioxide with EF Technology.
US Concrete services residential,
commercial, and public
construction. For more information

water conservation and landscaping, public awareness and
ways to reduce indoor water consumption.

Solicitor's Permit
Euless now requires solicitors to wear an
identifiable traffic safety vest and an
identification badge. If a solicitor appears at
your door, ask to see their permit if it's not
prominently displayed. The badge will provide
the name and address of the solicitor, solicitor's
employer, principal or organization, kind of
goods or services to be sold or offered for sale.
In hopes to keep deceptive practices out of
Euless, solicitors who ask for cash deposits or
advance payments for future delivery of services
are now required to pay a bond.
If the solicitor is in any way rude, discourteous,
or otherwise suspicious, call 9-1-1 and an
officer will respond to investigate the situation.
The Chief of Police can suspend permits if
necessary.
Tips to recognize a registered solicitor.
• Must wear a traffic safety vest and visibly
display the issued City of Euless badge
• Are not allowed to distribute to a house
with a posted sign that says "NO
SOLICITORS" or "NO TRESPASSING"
• Are not allowed before 8:30 a.m. or after
dark or 9 p.m., whichever is earlier on a
given day
• Are not permitted to place a flyer outside
a home if there are existing flyers present
• A minor must be under the constant
supervision of a person eighteen years of
age or older
There are a few exceptions to the solicitors'
ordinance that do not require registration with
the City including: political or religious support
or recruitment, and government employees
posting code violations, water restrictions,
utility outages, burn bans, special event impacts,
or security issues etc. For more information or
questions regarding the updates to this
ordinance, please call 817-685-1500.
