HomeMy WebLinkAbout270 12-23-1965ORDINANCE NO. 270 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 33 IDENTIFIED AS THE TEMPORARY COMPREHENSIVE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EULESS, TEXAS, PROVIDING FOR CHANGE OF DESIGNATION IN CERTAIN AREA AND AMENDING ZONING MAP TO CONFORM WITH SUCH AMENDMENT: AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the Zoning Commission of the City of Euless, after consideration of application from M. L. Anders, owner of the real property hereinafter described situated within the City, and having held a Public Hearing thereon in which all interested persons and owners of property in the vicinity of saic; realty were given ample and sufficient opportunity to be heard in connection with said appli- cation, having recommended to the City Council a change in the zoning designa- tion of said tract, and as by law previGed, publication of a Notice of Final Hear- ing, on such recommendation was made b; publishing the same in the Euless Herald the official newspaper of the City on the 7th day of October , 1965, and after said public hearing being held in accordance with the saic notice in which all owners of property in the City of Euless, Texas were given ample: and suffi- cient opportunity to be heard, the City Council deems it to be to the best inter- est of said City and its inhabitants that such recommendation be approved; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EULESS, TEXAS; IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that the Official District Zoning Map of the City of Euless, Texas, being a part of Ordinance No. 33, be amended to read as follows: That the designation of a tract of land in the City of Euless, Tarrant County, Texas, described as follows: BEING THE West i of Lot 25, Alexander- Cullum Subdivision, and being more fully described by metes and bounds as follows: BEGINNING at the Northeast corner of South Main and Alexander Lane; THENCE North 135.6 feet along and parallel to the East R.O.W. line of South Main Street; THENCE East 137.5 feet parallel to the North R.O.W. line of Alexander Lane; THENCE South 135.6 feet parallel to the East R.O.W. line of South Main Street; THENCE West 137.5 feet alone; and parallel to the North R.O.W. line of Alexander Lane to the point of beginning. now zoned "A" Residential be changer.' to "C" Commercial, in accordance with Ordi- nance No. 33 and subsequent amendments thereto. 11. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and as=ter its passage as by law provided. PRESENTED AND GIVEN FIRST READING on the 23rd day of Wovember 1965, at a Regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Euless, Texas; and give} SECOND READING, passed and approved on the 14 day of December , 1965, by a vote of 4 ayes and 0 nays at a Regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Euless, Texas, APPROVED: MAYOR ATTEST: City Secretary
