We hope you have watched some of the construction on Midway Drive and can see all the wonderful parts going in on the Aquatic Center. May features many special events for the entire family. From concerts at the library to movies in the park to the aquatic center grand opening, our staff works hard to plan great events for our citizens. Enjoy the spring weather while it lasts and join us for our many fun events. Our Hurst -Euless -Bedford In- dependent School District Superintendent, Dr. Gene Buinger, is retiring and we send many thanks for his service to our community. He has made our community a better place and we thank him and send best wishes for a relaxing retirement. Our municipal and school board elections will be held on Saturday, May I1. Please take the time to get out and vote. It is your duty and privilege as an American Citizen. And, don't forget to VOLUNTEER for some of our many opportunities to help others. Low-cost vaccinations will be available for Euless dogs. Heartworm testing and prevention is also available along with a limited number of mi- crochips. Vaccinations: • Rabies • DHPP • DHLPP 0 Kennel Cough Trinity GAP Club Pet Fair May 18, 10 a. m. - 2 p.m. Trinity High School Parking Lot, 500 N. Industrial Blvd. The Trinity High School Girls Awareness Program (GAP) Club is hosting a Pet Fair. The event will provide low cost vaccinations (10 a.m.-1 p.m.), low cost micro -chipping, pro- fessional photos, dog bathing, and nail trimming. The Euless Animal Shelter will have pets available for adoption. You can visit the www. tri nitygap rescue. org website anytime for adoptable pets. The GAP Club is an all -girl service club devoted to the Animal Shelter. These ladies work tirelessly to adopt pets from the animal shelter, which significantly reduces the euthanasia rate. They host fundraisers to pay for vaccinations, spay, neutering, and other medical needs. In addition, the teens foster pets and spend their free time in the shelter to walk, groom, and care for the pets that reside there. Please come out and support this great group. Mother's Day Brunch May 12, Seating times available between 10:30 a.m. - 2 p.m. Everyone loves mom! The celebration of Mother's Day is observed around the world, although the dates and months may vary from country to country. Mother's Day is the occasion to honor the special women in our lives who nurture and guide us through our lives. We have made it easy to pamper Mom this year. Happy Hour on the Patio at Raven's Grille Mondays - Thursdays in May, 5-7 p.m. It's hard to beat spring weather, a view of the 18th green and relaxing tunes while dining on Raven's Grille cuisine. Christopher McGuire Concert May 13, 7 p.m. Classical guitarist Christopher McGuire's direct influences range from private lessons with Maestro Segovia to jam sessions with Stevie Ray Vaughn. In October of 2005, Christopher shared the stage with the legendary Van Cliburn in a tribute concert for Fort Worth philanthropist Roz Rosenthal. Proof of residency is required (photo ID and current utility bill). A $10 non-refundable, non-transferrable deposit is due per week, per participant at the time of registration. Registration will remain open until weeks are filled, at which time your child can be placed on a waiting list at no charge. A registration packet will be available on line at www.eulesstx.gov/pacs. Movies in the Park The City of Euless will show great family movies in our beautiful parks this summer. Bring your favorite pillow and blanket and stretch out under the stars. Popcorn and refreshments are available for purchase while watching a movie in our FabEuless parks. Please help the fight against local hunger by bringing one canned good per person to be donated to local food pantries.
