HomeMy WebLinkAbout273 02-08-1966ORDINANCE NO. 273 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 33 IDENTIFIED AS THE TEMPORARY COMPREHENSIVE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EULESS, TEXAS, PROVIDING FOR CHANGE OF DESIGNATION IN CERTA I N AREA AND AMENDING ZONING MAP TO CONFORM WITH SUCH AMENDMENT: AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the Zoning Commission of the City of Euless, after consideration of application from J. D. Smith, owner of the real property hereinafter described situated within the City, and having held a Public Fearing thereon In which all Interested persons and owners of property In the vicinity of said realty were given ample and sufficient opportunity to be heard In connection with said appli- cation, having recommended to the City Council a change in the zoning designa- tion of said tract, and as by law provided, publication of a Notice of Final Hear- ing, on such recommendation was made by publishing the same In the Euless, Herald the official newspaper of the City on the 30th of December X19 5, am i after said public hearing being held in accordance with the said notice in which all owners of property In the City of Euless, Texas were given ample and suffi- cient opportunity to be heard, the City Council deems it to be to the best Inter- est of said City and Its Inhabitants that such recommendation be approved; TEXAS; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CiTY OF EULESS, 1. IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that the Official District ,Zoning Map of the City of Euless, Texas, being a part of Ordinance No. 33, be amended to read as follows: That the designation of a tract of land In the City of Euless, Tarrant County, Texas, described as follows: BEING all that certain tract, 2.282 acres of land out of the J. H. Haven Survey in Tarrant County, Texas, and being described as follows: BEGINNING at the N. W. corner of a 6.19 acre tract of land conveyed to J. J. Gilbert as shown in Vol. 1532, page 482. DRTCT; THENCE South 89 deg. 30 min. E. with the N. Line of said 6.19 acre tract and the South line of a road, 296.05 feet a pipe, the most Northerly N. E. corner of said tract and the N. W. corner of a tract of land deeded to Leonard Hall as shown In Vol 2842, page 332 DRTCT; THENCE South with the West line of said Hall tract 330.85 feet to a post set in concrete, the S. W. corner of said Hail tract, and a re- entrant corner of said 6.19 acre tract; THENCE N. 89 deg. 30 min W. with fence line 303.1 feet an iron pin the N. W. corner of a tract of land as shown In Vol 3132, page 176, DRTCT; THENCE North 1 deg. E. with fence line 331.1 feet to the place of be- ginning. SAVE AND EXC"?T any part or portion thereof in the use or occupancy of any public road or highway. now zoned "A" Residential be changed to "C" Commercial, in accordance with Ordinance No. 33 and subsequent amendments thereto. II. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage as by law provided. PRESENTED AND APPROVED ON FIRST READING as an emergency Ordinance ttie 8th day of February, 1966, at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Euless, Texas, by a vote of 4 ayes and 0 nays.
