Dear Citizens,
For those of you
who may not
° know about
Access Euless, I
highly recom-
mend you check
it out. It's a great
way to let us
know what is
going on in your neighborhood. If
you see a potential code issue, have
a question or want to let us know
about a street light or pothole, this
is the easiest way to report it. Pull
out your smart phone, snap a
picture (optional) and send it
directly to us. You can also use your
desktop computer or tablet. If
you're like me, I'm never certain
who to call about specific issues.
Access Euless will automatically
route you to the correct person.
There are a lot of great activities
scheduled in September. Between
concerts, pet fairs, fishing and
hazardous materials collection, we
have something for everyone.
Water University is a new free class
for residents that is presented by
the Texas A&M Extension Office.
These classes will be offered
quarterly during the year. All the
details are available in this issue of
Euless Today as well as online at

Bone Doggie Concert
September 8, 7 p.m.
Mary Lib Saleh Public Library, 201 N. Ector Dr.
A whiskey voice, lightning fingers, and a strong love of
the nostalgic are the best ways to sum up a white boy
from South Kansas City that plays the Delta Blues on an
Irish Bouzouki. A 25 -year veteran of countless classic
rock, jazz and progressive bands, Bone Doggie has
finally settled comfortably into the world of hard core
Delta Blues and American Roots Music.
Through the MasterWorks Series, Arts Council Northeast
and the City of Euless present free performances on
selected evenings throughout the year. The MasterWorks
Series is designed to offer a variety of quality family
entertainment to the community by utilizing the talent
of local, regional, and national artists.

Sept. 11, 9 a.m.
9-11 Artifact, 201 N. Ector Dr.
The City of Euless is the proud owner of an artifact from
the World Trade Center. The artifact is a 12 -foot long,
6,000 -pound steel beam that is a relic from the
September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. This artifact is
displayed in front of the Euless Fire Administration
Building as a memorial to the thousands killed that
tragic day. May we never forget!
Please join us for a ceremony on Thursday, September
11, 2014 at 9 a.m. commemorating the anniversary of
the terrorist attacks on our nation on September 11,
2001.

Trinity GAP Club Pet Fair
September 20, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Trinity High School Parking Lot
500 N. Industrial Blvd.
The Trinity High School Girls Awareness Program
(GAP) Club is hosting a Pet Fair. The event will
provide low cost vaccinations (10 a.m. - 1 p.m.), low
cost micro -chipping, professional photos, dog
bathing, and nail trimming. The Euless Animal
Shelter will have pets available for adoption. You can

for adoptable pets. The GAP Club is an all -girl service
club devoted to the Animal Shelter. These ladies work
tirelessly to adopt pets from the animal shelter, which
significantly reduces the euthanasia rate. They host
fundraisers to pay for vaccinations, spay, neutering,
and other medical needs. In addition, the teens foster
pets and spend their free time in the shelter to walk,
groom, and care for the pets that reside there. Please
come out and support this great group.
Clean Your Crud and be
a Crud Crusader
September 27, 9 - 11 a.m.
Euless City Hall Complex, 201 N. Ector Dr.
While hazardous materials are not collected by the
curbside garbage and recycling service, residents do
have options to dispose of these types of waste. The
Crud Cruiser mobile collection trailer travels to Euless
twice a year to help residents responsibly dispose of
their household chemical wastes. The City of Euless
also provides recycling for electronics and small
appliances onsite. Old paint, pesticides, used oil and
other automotive fluids, household cleaners,
solvents, batteries, and pesticides are all examples of
household chemicals that could be hazardous to the
environment if disposed of improperly.
Residents need to show proof of Euless residency and
do not have to pay to drop off materials. However,
the City of Euless is assessed a fee of $47 for each
household drop off. Please make sure you are
maximizing your delivery. For a complete list of what
the Crud Cruiser and the ECC will accept, please call
817-685-1410 or visit www.EulessTx.gov/hazmat.
