It gets dark much earlier now and the EFLC stays open late and is climate controlled. Childcare is available for those who need it during specified hours. It's also a great time of year to take advantage of the all new natatorium and swim in a perfectly heated pool. Classes are very affordable or swim on your own during Open Swim hours. It's a fun place to take your kids while they're out of school. There is a small slide and sprayground to keep them entertained and active during the school break. The fumes from this work will require that the entire Recreation Center be closed. The hardwood courts will be closed from December 20 through January 4. The Fitness Center will not be affected and will remain open except for the typical Christmas and New Year's Holiday schedule. Holiday Closures: • All City Facilities will be closed on Dec. 24 & 25 and Jan. 1 • Library CLOSES at 6 p.m. on Dec. 23. • Recreation Center, Fitness Center, Natatorium, and Senior Center CLOSED - December 24-25, December 31 at 6 p.m., and January 1. • Senior Center also CLOSED December 12. • Fitness Center will be CLOSED from 5 a.m. - 3 p.m. on Dec. 19. • The Gymnasium will be CLOSED Dec. 20 - Jan. 4 for resurfacing. • The Natatorium will be CLOSED Dec. 12 from 8 a.m. - 2:30 p.m., and at 6 p.m. on Dec. 31. Flutasia Holiday Performance Monday, December 8, 7 P. m. Euless Library, 201 N. Ector Dr. Jazz up your holiday with local group Flutasia in front of the Blooms of Enlightenment glass sculpture. You'll be astounded at the variety of shapes and sizes of flutes as well as the talent of this group. Bring the family and get into the holiday spirit with jazzy holiday tunes. Breakfast with Santa Saturday, December 13, 9:30 a.m. - noon Texas Star Conference Centre 1400 Texas Star Parkway Santa is stopping in at Texas Star to enjoy a delicious breakfast with you and your family. Along with breakfast with Santa, local elves will have fun crafts for children of all ages. Bring your camera for a picture with Santa. Reservations are recommended due to limited seating. Historic Heritage Park Christmas Celebration Saturday, December 13, 1-5 p.m. Historic Heritage Park, 203 Cullum Dr. Celebrate an old fashioned Christmas at Historic Heritage Park. Members of the Euless Historical Preservation Committee will conduct guided tours of the 160 year-old Himes Log House, McCormick Barn and the Fuller House—all decorated for the holiday season. Visit the Euless Heritage Museum at the Ruth Millican Center and learn about Euless history. You can listen to local choirs sing your Christmas favorites, visit our petting zoo and enjoy great arts and crafts. Kids can visit with Santa Claus and make their own Christmas ornaments.
