HomeMy WebLinkAbout274 02-22-1966ORDINANCE NO. 274 AN ORDINANCE CLOSING A PORTION OF COUNTY ROAD NO. 3157 WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS OF EULESS, TEXAS. WHEREAS, 0. S. Dobkins, Frank Crumley and Bernard Lunt are the owners of property on both sides of that portion of County Road No. 3157 in the James Matson Survey in the City of Euless, Tarrant County, Texas, said portion of County Road No. 3157 being described by metes and bounds on the attached field notes marked Exhibit "A ", and WHEREAS, the said 0. S. Dobkins, Frank Crumley and Bernard Lunt have petitioned and requested the City of Euless to close, vacate and abandon as a public thoroughfare that portion of County Road No. 3157 described by metes and bounds as set forth in the attached Exhibit "A ", and WHEREAS, said road is not needed or used by the public in general as a thoroughfare or street and should be closed thereby releaving the City of Euless of the cost of improvement or maintaining such road; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE EULESS CITY COUNCIL: That the portion of County Road No. 3157 described by metes and bounds in the field notes attached hereto as Exhibit "A ", be, and the same is hereby closed and abandoned as a public street. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage as required by the Euless City Charter. PRESENTED and given First Reading on the 8th day of February , 1966, at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Euless, Texas, and given Second Reading, passed and approved on the 22nd day of February , 1966, by a vote of 5 ayes and 0 nays at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Euless, Texas.
