brisk days of
October and the
abundance of ac -

the city.

lots of items at terrific sales.

swing so check them out. Our
Community Powered Revitalization
on October 19 & 20 needs lots of
volunteers.
Access Euless, an interactive
communication, is a convenient
way for residents to contact staff
with any concerns. Do make sure
you utilize this new resident tool.
With all the wonderful
activities scheduled above, we need
a great many volunteers. Thank you
in advance for sharing your time
and talents with others. Call Jerry
Poteet, our Volunteer Coordinator,
to sign up at 817-685-1449.
We look forward to serving
with you to BUILD A BETTER

Send a message to criminals letting them know
your neighborhood is organized, involved, and
fighting back. The Euless Police & Fire
Departments invite all neighborhoods in Euless
to meet in their neighborhood parks and join
with the police and the nation to "take a bite
out of crime." You can request a visit by

when infected mosquitos are most active.
2. DRESS -wear long sleeves and long pants
when outside. For extra protection, spray thin
clothing with repellent.
3. DEET -always wear repellent when outdoors.
Choose products that contain up to 20% DEET.
4. DRAIN -remove standing water in your yard,
these are mosquito breeding sites. If you have
standing water that is unable to drain, treat them
with 'mosquito dunks' that kill the larvae for up
to 30 days. A single dunk can cover 100 square
feet of water. These are available in packs of 6
from many stores with home & garden sections.
If you have symptoms that include stiff neck,
high fevers, or severe headache, contact your
health-care provider immediately.

fire? Have a home fire escape plan that prepares
your family to think fast and get out quickly
when the smoke alarm sounds. What if your
first escape route is blocked by smoke or
flames? That's why having two ways out is such
a key part of your plan. This years campaign,
"Have 2 Ways Out!" focuses on the importance
