AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 33 IDENTIFIED
AS THE TEMPORARY COMPREHENSIVE ZONING ORDINANCE OF
THE CITY OF EULESS, TEXAS, PROVIDING FOR CHANGE OF
DESIGNATION IN CERTAIN AREA AND AMENDING ZONING MAP
TO CONFORM WITH SUCH AMENDMENT: AND PROVIDING FOR
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Zoning Commission of the City of Euless, after consideration
of application from M. W. Simmons, owner of the real property hereinafter described
situated within the City, and having held a Public Hearing thereon in which all
interested persons and owners of property in the vicinity of said realty were
given ample and sufficient opportunity to be heard in connection with said appli-
cation, having recommended to the City Council a change in the zoning designa-
tion of said tract, and as by law provided, publication of a Notice of Final Hear-
ing, on such recommendation was made by publishing the same in the Euless Herald
the official newspaper of the City on the 27th day of January , 1966, and
after said public hearing being held in accordance with the said notice in which
all owners of property in the City of Euless, Texas were given ample and suffi-
cient opportunity to be heard, the City Council deems it to be to the best inter-
est of said City and its inhabitants that such recommendation be approved;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EULESS,
TEXAS;
IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that the Official District Zoning Map of the City of
Euless, Texas, being a part of Ordinance No. 33, be amended to read as follows:
The following described tract or parcel of land situated in the
A. J. Huitt Survey, A -684, Tarrant County, Texas and being a
part of a 11.25 acre tract conveyed to M. W. Simmons as
recorded on Page 55 of Volume 1755 in the Tarrant County Deed
Records and being more particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at an old iron pipe in the South right -of -way of
Huffman Road and being N 00 22' E a distance of 9.6 feet from
the North corner of Lot 1, Block 1, PARK CRESTMOOR ADDITION,
City of Euless, Texas.
THENCE, S 880 09' E along the South line of Huffman Road a
distance of 149.1 feet to an iron rod at the intersection of
the South line of Huffman Road and the West line of Simmons
Drive;
THENCE, S 00 11' W along the West line of Simmons Drive a
distance of 175.02 feet to an iron rod;
THENCE, N 880 09' W a distance of 149.65 feet to an iron
rod set in the East line of said Lot 1, Block 1, PARK CRESTMOOR
ADDITION;
THENCE, N 0 22' E along the Eastline of said Lot 1, Block 1,
PARK CRESTMOOR ADDITION, a distance of 175 feet to place of
beginning.
now zoned "A" Residential be changed to "C" Commercial, in accordance with Ordi-
nance No. 33 and subsequent amendments thereto.
This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage as by law provided.
PRESENTED AND GIVEN FIRST READING on the 8th day of March , 1966,
at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Euless, Texas; and
given SECOND READING, passed and approved on the 22nd day of March 1966
by a vote of 3 ayes and 0 nays at a regular meeting of the City
Council of the City of Euless, Texas.
