AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 206
BY THE ADOPTION OF PARAGRAPH 3(A), SECTION
5, OF SUCH ORDINANCE NO. 206; PROVIDING A
PENALTY CLAUSE, A SEVERANCE CLAUSE AND AN
EFFECTIVE DATE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EULESS, TEXAS:
I.
That Electrical Ordinance No, 206 shall be amended by the
adoption of Paragraph 3(A), Section 5 to read as follows:
9(A). Recognition of Electrical Licenses issued by Other
Texas Cities.
An electrician holding a current electrical license
issued by another incorporated city in t -he State of
Texas, such license being substantially the same as
that defined in Section 2 of Ordinance No. 206, may
apply for and receive a similar electrical license in
the City of Euless, 'texas, without taking an
examination, provided:
(a) Such applicant electrician shall satisfy a
two- thirds majority of the Euless Electrical
Board that such applicant's license was
issued under conditions comparable to
those required by Section 5 of Euless
Ordinance No. 206.
(b) That the city which issued such applicant
electricianls license has a similar reciprocal
condition in its Ordinances permitting the
holder of the type of electrical licenses
issued by the City of Euless to obtain a
license i n such other c i tk, vri thout an
examination.
(c) That the Euless Board shall be satisfied with
the applicant =s qualifications and ability
and vote affirmatively be a two - thirds
majority to grant such license.
(d) Payment is made of the license registration
fee required by Ordinance No. 206 and
subsequent Amendments thereto.
(e) Such applicant shall be subject to and comply
with and adhere to all other requirements of
the Electrical Ordinance of the City of
Euless, Texas.
PENALTY CLAUSE - AMENDING ORDINANCE
Any person or persons violating any of the terms or provisions
of this Ordinance shall be guilty of misdemeanor and upon conviction,
shall be fined not less than twenty -five dollars ($25.00) and not more
than two hundred dollars ($200.00) and each and every day any such
violation exi -Its shall constitute a separate and distinct offense.
III.
If any section, paragraph, phrase or provision of this Ordinance
is declared void or unenforceable by a court of competent,jurisdiction,
the remaining portions of this Ordinance shall be unaffected by such
holding of invalidity.
IV.
This Ordinance shall be in full force in effect after its passage
and publication as required by law and in the Euless City Charter.
PRESENTED AND GIVEN FIRST READING ON THE 25th day of July,
1967, at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Euless,
Euless, Texas; and given Second Reading, passed and approved on the
8th day of August , 1967, by a vote of 3 ayes and 0
nayes at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Euless,
Texas.
