HomeMy WebLinkAbout308 09-12-1967ORDINANCE NO. 308 AN ORDINANCE LEVYING A TAX ON ALL TAXABLE PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF EULESS, TEXAS, FOR THE YEAR 1967, PRO- VIDING PENALTIES, INTEREST AND LEGAL REMEDIES FOR THE COLLECTION THEREOF. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF EULESS. TEXAS: 1. That a tax Is hereby levied upon all taxable property in the City of Euless, Texas, for the year of 1967, at the rate of eighty -five cents (850 per One Hundred Dollar ($100.00) valuation. I1. That there shall be and there is hereby levied the following taxes on each one hundred ($100.00) dollar valuation on all taxable property within the City of Euless, Texas, to be assessed and collected by the Tax Assessor and Collector for the year 1967, and said taxes are to be assessed and collected for the purposes hereinafter stipulated, to -wit: (a) For the General Fund levied on the $100.00 valuation $0.6300 (b) For the Interest and Sinking Fund levied on the $100.00 valuation $0.2200 Total Levy 111. $0.8500 That penalties and Interest shall accrue to the City of Euless as provided by Section 6, Article IX of the Euless City Charter and as authorized by the statutes of the State of Texas and that such penalties and Interest as so provided are hereby adopted and shall accrue to the City of Euless when city taxes become delinquent. The City of Euless is hereby authorized to adopt any and all legal remedies provl&W by the Revised Civll Statutes of the State of Toxft and the Euless Clty Charter for the pure of collecting de l i nquent taxes. IV.
