AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 206
BY THE ADOPTION OF SECTION I I la AND SECTION
VII, PARAGRAPH I, OF SUCH ORDINANCE NO. 206;
PROVIDING A PENALTY CLAUSE, A SEVERANCE
CLAUSE AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EULESS, TEXAS:
That Section III of Electrical Ordinance No. 206 shall be amended
by the adoption and substitution of Section III as follows:
The City of Euless hereby adopts the 1965 edition of the National
Electrical Code as written with specific changes which are set forth in City
Ordinance No. 206, Amendment No. 304 and this Amendment.
Meter installations shall comply with specifications of utility
company furnishing power. The utility company furnishing power shall have the
right to designate service entrance location.
Ordinance No. 206, commonly referred to as "electrical ordinance"
is hereby amended by the deletion of existing Paragraph I and the substitution
therefor of Paragraph I as follows:
Wiring installed in the City of Euless, Texas is to be no less
grade than non - metallic sheathed cable. Aluminum wiring may be used as desig-
nated in the National Electrical Code 1965 Edition, except all stranded aluminum
wire connection must be treated with a product equal to or better than penetrox
corrosion preventative.
PENALTY CLAUSE - AMENDING ORDINANCE
Any person or persons violating any of the terms or provisions of
this Ordinance shall be guilty of misdemeanor and upon conviction, shall be
fined not less than twenty -five dollars ($25.00) and not more than two hundred
dollars ($200.00) and each and every day any such violation exists shall con-
stitute a separate and distinct offense.
IV.
If any section, paragraph, phrase or provision of this Ordinance
is declared void or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the
remaining portions of this Ordinance shall be unaffected by such holding of
invalidity.

This Ordinance shall become effective and be in full force and
effect upon its final passage and publication as required by law and the
Euless City Charter.
PRESENTED and given First Reading on the 12th day of March ,
1968, at a Regular Meeting of the City Council of the City of Euless, Texas,
and given Second Reading, passed and approved on the 26th day of March ,
1968, by a vote of 5 ayes and 0
