This, the 30th day of August, 1950, came on to be heard and considered by the County
Judge of Tarrant County, Texas, the petition of twenty (20) inhabitants of the herein-

after described town or village of Euless, Tarrant County, Texas, for an order of
election of such town or village for the purpose of enabling the inhabitants of said
town or village to determine whether or not the town or village of Euless, Texas, shall
�e incorporated under the laws of the State of Texas, and it appearing to the under-
signed county judge that such petition was duly and properly filed on the 30th day of
August, 1950, and that said pertition was duly signed by at least twenty (20) inhabi-

State of Texas:
Now, therefore, by virtue of the authority vested in me under Article 1133 et seq.
of Title 280 Chapber 11, of the Revised Civil Statutes of the State of Texas, I, Gus
Brown, County Judge of Tarrant County, Texas, do hereby order that on the 23rd day of
September, 1950, at the Public School in Euless, Texas, an election shall be held for
the purpose of enabling the inhabitants of the Town of Euless, Texas, to determine
whether or not the said town of Euless, Texas, as designated by the map or plat attache
to aforesaid petition, shall be incorporated under the laws of the State of Texas.
It is further ordered that notice of said election shall be posed in three public
places in the town or village of Euless for at least ten (10) days before the date of
such election aforesaid as required by law.
That the polls shall be open for such election at the Public School in Euless, Texas
on September 23rd, 1950, between the hours of 7 A. M. and 7 P. M.; Mrs. S. W. Mills, wh
is an inhabitant of the town of Euless and a duly qualified elector is hereby appointed
manager and the person in charge of said election, and she shall appoint two judges and
two clerks to assist in such election.
No person shall vote at such election unless her or Ae has attained the age of
twenty one years, and unless he or she.shall have resided in the town or village of
Euless for the six months next preceding August 20, 1950, the date of filing of the a-
a
foredescribed petition, and unless he or she is otherwise/duly qualified voter under the
constitution and laws of the State of Texas. All votes of such election shall be by
ballots, and voters desiring the incorporation of the town of Euless shall place upon
their ballots the word "corporation", and voters not desiring the incorporation of the
town of Euless shall place upon their ballots the words "no corporation".
On or before the tenth day after such election, the person holding such election shall
Make due returns of all the votes cast at the above designated voting place for and
against the said proposition to the county judge of said county.
Witness the hand of the county judge of Tarrant County, Texas, this the 30th day of
August, 1950.

OF TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS Town of Euless, Texas
We, the undersigned petitioners, all of whom are inhabitants of the town or village
known as Euless, Tarrant County, Texas, which town or village contains more than two
hundred (200) and less than ten thousand (10,000) inhabitants, all of whom are over the
age of twenty one (21) years, and all of whom have resided in said town or village of
Euless for the six months next preceding the filing of this petition and are otherwise
qualified electors under the laws of the State of Texas, do hereby respectfully petition
and request that the aforesaid town or village of Euless be incorporated under the laws
of the State of Texas, that the name of said town when incorporated be "Euless, Texas",
the boundaries of said town to be as stated and specified in the map or plat of said
proposed incorporated town or village attached hereto and made a part hereof.

day personally appeared 0. B. Powell, and Frank Tipps, School Superintendent and School
Tax Collector and Assessor, respectively for the Euless Independent School District,
Tarrant County, Texas, and who being by me duly shorn each upon their oath ddposes and
says that they have personally conducted a house to house canvass and investigation to
determine the exact number of residents or inhabitants in the un -incorporated town or
village of Euless, Tarrant County, Texas; that said canvass or investigation was taken
only in the district or area which is to be incorporated and known as the town oP vill
of Euless, Texas, which area is shown on the map or plat attached to the petition for
incorporation dated August 28, 1950; the undersigned affiants further say that they and
each of them conducted a complete and thorough canvass and investigation to determine t
actual number of inhabitants of the area to be incorporated as the town or village of y
Euless, Texas, and that such canvass or investigation as conducted by the undersigned
shows that there are three hundred sixty five (365) inhabitants in the area which is to
be incorporated as the town or village of Euless, Texas.

deposes as follows:
I, Mrs. S. W. Mills, am the duly appointed judge of an election held at Euless,
Texas, on September 23, 1950, at the Euless School, said election having been held to
determine to question of whether or not the town of Euless is to be incorporated under
the laws of the State of Texas. I hereby certify that there was a total of 67 votes
cast at the aforesaid election. I find that the votes were cast as follows:

AGAINST INCORPORATION 19
As the official judge of the aforesaid election held at Euless, Texas, September
23, 1950, I hereby declare that the majority of the votes cast at said election was in
favor of the proposition of incorporation of the town of Euless, Texas.

WHEREAS, Pursuant to an order by the undersigned County Judge of Tarrant County,
Texas, of August 28, 1950, there was held in the town of Euless, Texas, on September
23rd, 1950, an election to decide the question of whether or not the aforesaid town t
of Euless should be incorporated under the laws of the State of Texas; and
WHEREAS, the total votes cast were 67 and the majority of said total votes were
cast in favor of the proposition for the incorporation of the Town of Euless, Texas,
under the laws of the State of Texas, said vote being 48 for and 19 against.
I, the undersigned County Judge of Tarrant County, Texas,do hereby order and de -
Clare that the town of Euless, Tarrant County, Texas, is, as a result of the aforesaid
election on September 23rd, 1950, from hereon henceforth an incorporated town under the
laws of the State of Texas. It is further ordered that the boundaries of the said in-
corporated town of Euless are as set forth in the official map or plat attached hereto.
