A motion was made by Commissioner Wright, seconded by Commissioner Minton and
earried that all the proceedings of the Election for Abolishment of the Corporation of
the Town of Euless, Texas, be placed on the Minutes of the Commissioners' Court as re-
quested by County Judge, Gus Brown. Proceedings as follows:

ACTION ORDER
On this the 10th da of December, 1952, came on to be heard the

0 majority of the qualified resident property taxpayers and qualified voters of the In-
corporated City of 2uless, Tarrant County, Texas; said petition filed hrein on the
U] let day of December, 1952, praying that this Court and the County Judge order an else-
enabling tion to be held in such incorporated City of the purpose of

0 electors thereof to determine whether such corporation should be abolished; and it

W appearing to the Court that such petition is in due form and that the requisites of the

E applicable laws of the State of Texas have been met, and that the eignatures on such

0 0 petition are the valid signatures of those named as petitioners, and that all of said

petitioners are qualified electors as that term Is defined in Article 1242, Revised
Civil Statutes of Texas, and that said petition should be granted.

S4 IT IS THEREFORE ORDERED, ADJUDGED AND DECREED that on the 3rd day of January,

E-4 1953, at First Methodist Church in the City of Euless, Tarrant County, Texas, an elec-
tion be held for the purpose of submitting the question of whether or not said corpor-
ation should be abolished and dissolved to a vote of the qualified electors of said in-
corporated City of Euless;
that on the aforesaid date and place voting polls be kept open between the hours of
7:00 A. M. and 7:00 P. M., and that only those nereons who are qualified under the
terms of Article 1243, Revised Civil Statutes of Texas, be allowed to vote, said
article providing In substance as follows:
'All persons who are legally qualified voters of the State of Texas and
County of Tarrant, and are resident property taxpayers in the Citi of Euless, as
shown by the last assessment roll of such City of Euless, shall be entitled to vote
in such election."
IT IS FURTHER ORDERED, ADJUDGED AND DECREED that the ballot to be used at such

IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that the posting of three copies of this order at three
public places in the City of Euless for at least ten days immediately preceding the date

of said election shall be sufficient notice to the voters of said City of Euless, as

required by law.

shall be otherwise held in the manner prescribed for holding elections in other cases.

EULESS I TARRANT CCUNTY, TEXAS
On this the 8th day of January, 1953, came on to be tabulated before me and by me,
the County Judge of +arrant County, Texas, the returns of a certain election hereto-
fore called to be held on the 3rd day of January, 1953, to enable the qualified propert
tax paying voters of the City of Euless to determine whether such corporation shall be
abolished; and it appearint to me upon counting such returns that 43 votes were cast
In favor of abolishment and 39 votes were cast against the proposition to abolish the
oorporation and that such election carried in favor of such proposition to abolish the
incorporation by a majority of 4 votes;
IT IS, THEREFORE, ORDERED, ADJUDGED AND DECREED that the corporate existence of the
incorporated town of Euless, Tarrant County, Texas, be, and the same is hereby abolishe .
