A motion was made by Commissioner Owens, seconded by Commissioner Henderson and
carried that Precinct Three be, and it is hereby authorized to contract with E. L.
Blevins and A. G. Cullins to clear right of way at rate of '41.00 per hour for a period
of 64 hours each.

THE STATE OF TEXAS I IN THE COMMISSIONERS' COURT
COUNTY OF TARRANT I OF TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS
TO THE HONORABLE GUS BROWN, COUNTY COURT:
WE, the undersigned, Residents and inhabitants of the area and territory described
in Exhibits "A" and "B" attached hereto and made a part hereof, do hereby petition,
that an Election to be held within said area and territory, as by law provided, for the
submission of the question of Inoorporating the area and territory described in Raid
attached Exhibits as a Municipality, pursuant to the provisions of Title 28, Chapter 11,
Articles 1133, et eeq., of the 1925 Revised Civil Statues of Texas, to be known as the
"Village of Euless, Texas".
THAT the area and ter^Story described In said Exhibits "A" and "B" is lees than
two square miles and erntains more than two hundred and lees than ten thousand inhab-
itants, and including only areas used and to be used for Town purposes, same to be oc-
cupied by Dwellings and other buildinf-s, Commercial and Industrial and aprurtenances
thereto.
THAT we the un6erslgned are reaidente and inhabitants of the area and territory
defined herein and are qualified voters and electors under the Laws of the State of
Texas.

THE STATE CF TEXAS ] IN THE CIUNTY COURT
CCUNTY OF TARRANT I TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS
ON this the 6th day of February, A. D. 1953, the petition for incorporation of the
village of Euless, Texas, signed by James A. Prickett and Forty-six (46) other citizens
of the said proposed municipal corporation, was Presented to me; and
WHEREAS, I, the County Judge of Tarrant County, Texas, have considered said petitl
with exhibits attached thereto and the Proof offered In connection therewith, -nc' have
satisfied myself as tc the truth of the statements in said notiti�n contained; and
WHEREAS, upon proof obtained by me with respect to the matters in such Petition,
and particularly the fact that the said Village of Euless, Texas, as descriv-d and
Identified in Bald petition.and exhibits contains the required number of inhabitants
and is within the maximum area as by law Provided; and.
nHEREA5, it appearing to this Court that the said petition contains the s_t,:cat r s
of more than twenty (20) of the inhabitants of said area who are duly qualified voters
in the State of Texas, and who have resided therein for more than six months nrior to
the date hereof, and that the facts in said netition are found to be true and that the
Inhabitants of said proposed Village of Euless are entitled under the law to Sncorpora
under the provisions of Chapter 11, Title 28, of the Revised Civil Statutes, of the
State of Texas, 1925 Revision, as amended, which the Court so finds, and that all of s
Justifies the holding of an election as Prayed for;
NOW, THERRFORE, IT IS HEREBY ORDERED, ADJUDGED AND DECREED that an election as pray,
for be held on the 21st day of February, A.D. 1953, between the hours of 7:00 o'clock
A.M. and 7:00 o'clock P.M. at the Euless Methodist Church Annex, which is -,,,,lthin the
limits of said proposed incorporated Village of Euless, Texas, for the purpose of sub-
mitting.to th.a electorate of the proposed incorporated Village, the question as to
whether said proposed Village shall be incorporat•�d under the laws of the State of T
under the provisions of Chapter 11, Title 28, of the Revised Civil Statutes, of the `
State of Texas, 1925 Revialon, as amended.
IT I8 FURTHER ORDERED, ADJUDGED AND DECREED that M. L. Anders be and Is hereby
appointed as the officer to preside at the said election and that he shall select four
(4) assistants to act as assistant Jude and clerks to assist in holding the same,
which election shall be held and governed by the General Laws of this State, except as
otherwise provided in Chapter 11, Title 28, Revised Civil Statutes of Texas, 1925
Revision, as amended, which will govern in case of conflict with the General Laws.
IT I8 FURTHER ORDERED that notice of such election be given ten days prior to
the holding of said election by posting advertising thereof at three (3) public places
In the said proposed Village of Euless.
IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that the ballot's to be used in said election shall have
written or printed thereon the following;

IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that the returns of said election provided for herein shall
be made to the County Judge of Tarrant County, Texas, by the officers holding such
election within ten (10) days after such election shall have been held.

THE STATE OF TEXAS 1
COUNTY OF TARRANT (
ON this day came on to be considered the retu^ns of a special election held on
February 21, 1953, pursuant to an order executed by me on the 6th day of February, A.
D. 1953, to determine whether the Village of Euless, Texas, should be incorporated
under the provisions of Chapter 11; Title 28, of the Revised Citll Statutes of 1925,
as amended; and it appearing to me, the County judge of Tarrant County, Texas, that
after canoassing and considering the said returns, that the vote on said election was;
'CORPORATION" 59 VOTES
"NO CORPORATION" 27 VOTES
IT IS THEREFORE ORDERED, ADJUDGED AND DECREED that the Village of Euless, Texas,
the boundalies of which are described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a hart
hereof, be and is hereby a duly incorporated municipality under the provisions of
Chapter 11, Title 28, Revised Civil Statutes of 1925, as amended, and other laws per
tlnent to ouch character of Village and that the inhabitants of such Village of Euless,
Texas, are incorporated within the boundaries as shown in Exhibit "A" attabhed hereto.
IT IS FURTHER ORDERED, ADJUDGED AND DECREED that a copy of this order be entered
upon the records of the Commissioners' Court; and that a certified copy of this entry,
Including the plat of the Village of Euless, Texas, shall be recorded in the Deed
Records of Tarrant County, Texas.

(COUNTY JUDGEIS ORDER CALLING ELECTIONIOR OFFICIALS)
THE STATE OF TEXAS
COUNTY OF TARRANT
WHEREAS, the Village of Euless,Texas, has heretofore been incorporated under the
provisions of Chapter 11, Title 28, Revised Civil Statutes of 1925, and it Is the du
of the County Judge to order an election for officers of said Village, to -21t: A
Mayor, five (5) Aldermen and a Marshal.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED that an election be held on the 21st day of March,
A. D. 1953, between the hours of 9200 o'clock A. M. and 7:00 o'clock P. M. at the
Euless Methodist Church Annex, situated within the limits of the Village of Euless,
Texas, for the purpose of electing a Mayor, hive Aldermen and a Marshal, as by law
provided, all of whom shall hold office until their successors are duly elected and
qualified.
IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that obly those persons who have attained the age of twenty-
one (21) years, and who have resided within the limits of the Village of Euless, Texas
for six (6) months next preceding the date of said election, and who is a qualified
elector, under the Constitution and Laws of this State, by having paid his or her poll
tax, or by being entitled to vote upon an exemption, shall be eligible for any of said
offices..
IT IS FURTHER ORDERED That the qualified person receiving the highest number of
votes for Mayor, and the qualified person receiving the highest number of votes for
Marshal and the five qualified persons who shall receive the highest number of votes
for Aldermen shall be eleotbd to serve in such capacities until the first Tuesday in
April, 1954, or until their successors are duly elected and qualified:

IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that Mr. M. L. Anders be and he is hereby appointed as the
officer to preside at each election, and that he shall select two clerks to assist in
holding the same, which election shall be governed as provided In Chapter 11, Title 28
of the Revised Civil Statutes of 1925, as amended, except as otherwise provided in the
Election Gods of 1951.of the State of Texas, which shall govern in the event of con-
fliot with the provisions aforementioned.
IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that the returns of the election provided for herein shall
be made to the County Judge of Tarrant County, Texas, by the officers holding such
election within the time and the manner provided by law after such election shall have
been held.
IT I8 FURTHER ORDERED that notice of such election shall be given by posting a
notice thereof at three public places in the Village of Euless, Texas.
