AN ORDINANCE CLOSING A PORTION OF TRIGG- EULESS ROAD, ALSO
KNOWN AS COUNTY ROAD NO. 3116, AND A PORTION OF GLADE
ROAD, ALSO KNOWN AS COUNTY ROAD NO. 3036, LOCATED WITHIN
THE CITY LIMITS OF EULESS, TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS; SUCH
ROADS HAVING BEEN PREVIOUSLY DEDICATED TO THE PUBLIC.
WHEREAS, the portion of Trigg - Euless Road beginning 1380 feet north of Estelle
Road and extending north to Glade Road, and the portion of Glade Road beginning at
a point 30 feet east of Minters Chapel Road (County Road No. 3040), thence proceeding
east along Glade Road to the Trigg- Euless Road; thence continuing east approximately
0.5 miles; thence south approximately 0.2 miles; thence east approximately 0.4 miles
to the Dallas - Tarrant County line, being no longer required as public roads, and it
appearing to the public interest to close these portions of said roads,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EULESS, TEXAS:
That the portion of Trigg - Euless Road (County Road No. 3116) beginning 1380 feet
north of Estelle Road and extending north to Glade Road, and the portion of Glade Road
(County Road No. 3036) within the City of Euless, beginning at a point 30 feet east of
Minters Chapel Road (County Road No. 3040); thence proceeding east along Glade Road
to the Trigg- Euless Road; thence continuing east approximately 0.5 miles; thence south
approximately 0.2 miles; thence east approximately 0.4 miles to the Dallas - Tarrant
County line, be, and the same are hereby abandoned and closed and the ownership there-
of returned to property owners of record adjacent to the roads closed by this ordinance.
Since there has been created and exists an urgency and an emergency for the
immediate preservation of the public peace, health and welfare requiring that this
ordinance be adopted as an emergency measure by the favorable vote of four or more of
the Euless City Councilmen and shall become effective immediately from and after its
passage, and it is so ordained.
PRESENTED AND GIVEN FIRST AND FINAL READING on the 10th day of December, 1968,
at a Regular Meeting of the Euless City Council, City of Euless, Texas.
