Massey to rezone two acres of land out uf the A. J. H u i t t Survey to "C" Commercial, and the request of the Municipal Service Company from "A" Residential to " B l l Local Business
on Tracts C, D, E, F, G , H, I , and J i n the J. P. Halford Survey. Present were Mayor 3. S . Anderson, Councilmen Bobby Fuller, H. M. Huffman, Roy Braswell, Billy Byers, and Billy
Owens. The council meeting was opened w i t h a prayer by Mayor Anderson. 1. The minutes of the regular council meeting of Flay 23, 1961, and the regular council meeting of June 13,
1961, were read by the City Secretary and approved by the Council. 2. Two visitors living on Rraodway were present to discuss the recent floodings of their property by heavy rains. Anderson
informed them t h a t he had discussed the drainage of t h i s s t r e e t w i t h Commissioner Lewis of this Precinct and that he had promised the County would help us on this drainage
problem as much as he could. Mayor 1 3. A motion was made by Councilman Owens, and seconded by Councilman Byers, t o approve the plat submitted by Dan Peters dedicating a f i f t y foot
street through the Dan Peters Sub-division, this is a continuation of Park Drive south to Highway 183. i n favor o f this motion. All Councilmen present voted 4. A motion was made by
Councilman Owens, and seconded by Councilman Byers, t o approve the request of Dan and Tommy Peters t o rezone from "A" Residential to I'B" Local Business Tract 4, a 1.29 acre tract
and Tract 5, a .63 acre tract. These having been previously approved by the Planning and Zoning Commission. The City Attorney i s authorized to call a public hearing on this request.
All Councilmen present voted i n favor of this motion. 5. A motion was made by Councilman Fuller, and seconded by Councilman Owens, to approve the preliminary plat of the S. W. Mills
Sub-division, Second Sectjon, on which platting is a continuation o f Mills Drive North t o Highway 183 is provided. Planning and Zoning Commission. motion. This having been previously
