Blockbuster to close five D-FW stores
Dallas Business Journal -by Candace Carlisle, Staff Writer
Tuesday, March 29,2011
Dallas-based Blockbuster Inc. will close 186 more stores by the end of the month, including five
stores in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
This will bring the number of Blockbuster closings in the United States to 1,145 since the movie
rental chain first announced it had filed for Chapter II bankruptcy protection in September.
Two Fort Worth stores -one off Loop 820 and one off South Hulen Street -will close, along
with the Dallas store off Abrams Road, the Burleson store off Alsbury Boulevard, and the Euless
store off North Main Street.
Two other Texas store locations -Beeville and Vidor -will also close.
Beeville is located south of San Antonio and Vidor is near Beaumont.
