Small quake centered near Irving, U.S. agency reports

A small earthquake was felt at 10:16 p.m. Tuesday in Irving, Dallas, Coppell and Euless, the U.S.
Geological Survey reported.
No damage was immediately reported, "nor would there be any expected for a magnitude-3
earthquake," said Dale Grant, a geophysicist at the survey's National Earthquake Information Center in
Golden, Colo.
The quake was centered about five miles north-northwest of Irving.
"You would have to get up to around magnitude 4 or greater to see real damage," Grant said.
"That would be 10 times stronger than a magnitude 3."
Grant said he had no explanation for Tuesday's quake but did note that it was the latest "in a continuing
series" of small quakes in North Texas.
Similar earthquakes were reported in September and November, according to the agency.

WARMING UP FOR THE MASTERS
The 16th-annual Charles Coody Classic is set for Monday, April1, at Texas Star Golf
Club in Euless. Come take part in this great tournament honoring Charles Coody '60,
TCU's 1971 Masters champion. It's the TCU Lettermen's Association's official golf
