HomeMy WebLinkAbout423 04-11-1972ORDINANCE NO. 423 AN ORDINANCE DETERMINING THAT THE CITY COUNCILS OF EULESS AND HURST HAVE AGREED TO SIMULTANEOUSLY PASS THIS ORDINANCE DEFINING, ADJUSTING, AND ESTABLISHING THE COMMON CITY LIMIT LINE AND BOUNDARY BETWEEN SAID TWO MUNICIPALITIES; PROVIDING THAT ANY ANNEXATION, CITY LIMIT MAP OR OTHER DESCRIPTION OF THE CITY LIMIT LINE OF THE CITY OF EULESS NOT CONSISTENT WITH THE AGREED BOUNDARY SET FORTH IN THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BE AMENDED, CHANGED AND ADJUSTED TO MEET AND CONFORM TO THE AGREED CITY LIMIT LINE AND COMMON BOUNDARY SET FORTH IN THIS ORDINANCE; DETERMINING THAT SUCH BOUNDARY LINE AGREEMENT AND DETERMINATION HAS BEEN ACCOMPLISHED PURSUANT TO AND IN COMPL!ANCE WITH THE EULESS CITY CHARTER AND APPLICABLE STATUTES OF THE STATE OF TEXAS; PROVIDING THAT THIS ORDINANCE BE PUBLISHED AS REQUIRED BY LAW AND THE EULESS CITY CHARTER; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE WHEREAS, the Euless City Council has determined that it is to the mutual interest and beDafit of the City of Euless and the City of Hurst to define, adjust, and establish a common boundary and city limit line accorcing to the agreed description set forth in this ordinance, and WHEREAS, the Euless City Council has determined it to be the pest interest of the City of Euless to find and provide that any annexation, city .emit map or other description of the city limit line of the City of Euless, not consistent with the agreed boundary set forth in this ordinance, shall be amended, charged and adjusted to meet and conform to the agreed city limit line and common boundary set forth in this ordinance, and WHEREAS, the Euless City Council finds that such boundary line agreement and determination has been accomplished and made pursuant to and in compliance with the Euless City Charter and the applicable statutes of the State of Texas, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EULESS: -hat the Euless city limit line, contiguous and abutting the City of Hurst, shall be and is hereby determined to be along the line described as follows: c,,-ginning in the existing City limit line of Hurst and Euless, -; rr�-.t County, Texas and being S 890 45' 44'' E a distance 236.73 feet from a Bois d' arc stake at the Southeast ccrr,er of Tract 8, SOTOGRANDE, to the City of Hurst and Euless, Tarrant County, Texas according to plat recorded on 'age 50 of Volume 388 -45 in the Tarrant County Deed Records; T.ENCE South a distance of 285.0 feet; THENCE N 670 18' 56" E a distance of 90.22 feet; THENCE S 220 41' 04" E. at a distance of 387.09 feet the North right -of -way line of State Highway No. 183, a total distance of 537.09 feet; THENCE S 670 18' 56" W a distance of 472.94 feet to a point in the old City limit line. 2. Any annexation, city limit map or other description of the city limit line of the City of Euless inconsistent with the agreed boundary and city limit line described above shall be and is hereby amended, changed and adjusted to meet and conform to such agreed common boundary between the City of Euless and the City of Hurst as described above. 3. This Ordinance shall be published at least one time in the official news- paper of the City of Euless, Texas, in accordance with the provisions of the Euless City Charter. 4. This Ordinance shall become effective and be in full force and effect upon its final passage and publication as required by law and the Euless City Charter. PRESENTED AND GIVEN FIRST READING on the 22nd day of February—, 1972, at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Euless, Texas, and given Second Reading, passed and approved on the 11th day of April , 1972, by a vote of 5 ayes and 0 nays at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Euless, Texas.
