HomeMy WebLinkAbout2016-06 Euless Today1016*June THE CITY OF THE OFFIGAL PUBLICATION OF EUL°ESS A Yi Did you know... You can rent many of the city's facilities and meeting rooms. Visit http://www.eulesstx.gov/pacs/rental/ for more information. Dear Citizens, We have some fun things in store this month, from movies and concerts in the park, to some wonderful Father's Day deals at Texas Star. Unfortunately, we may have to put up with a little traffic to get to those events. As many of you know, both the Main Street and the pedestrian bridges that span Highway 183 are scheduled for removal. At the time of this writing the tentative date is June. The pedestrian bridge will be replaced by a pedestrian access route along Ector Drive. The Main Street bridge will be completely replaced. While it is going to be inconvenient, the end result will be a major improvement. We encourage you to continue to patronize our Euless businesses during the construction. They may not be as easy to access but your continued support is vital to their survival. c›)--e--`()Laiet‘rz- The Euless City Council Linda Martin Tim Stinneford Mayor Mayor Pro Tem Place 1 Place 2 Place 3 Place 4 Place 5 Place 6 Jeremy Tompkins Eddie Price Linda Eilenfeldt Harry Zimmer Perry Bynum * COMMUNITY NEW817-685-1400 s 9° Register for a Free Irrigation Evaluation The Water Irrigation System Evaluation (W.I.S.E.) Guys residential program is a free service provided by the Tarrant Regional Water District. They send a licensed technician to your home to conduct a comprehensive evaluation of your sprinkler system, heads and controller. The free program allows you to get advice from a licensed irrigator and ensure your system is as efficient as possible. This program has the ability to conserve millions of gallons of water each year, which helps the city to meet its water conservation goals. There is no cost to the city or our residents for participating in this program. While the W.I.S.E. Guys contractor will not make any repairs to the system, the contractor will make the recommended adjustments to the system controller ar your request. In many instances, the adjustment to the system controller is the first step to water conservation and lower water bills. To sign up for a W.I.S.E. guys evaluation, visit www.eulesstx.gov/wiseguys.
