HomeMy WebLinkAbout444 04-10-1973ORD I NANCE NO. 444 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 347 IDENTIFIED AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EULESS, TEXAS; PROVIDING FOR A CHANGE OF ZONING FROM "R -1" SINGLE FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT TO "C -2" COMMUNITY BUSINESS DISTRICT ON 16.024 ACRES; "R -5" MULTI - FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT ON 30.65 ACRES; "L -1" LIMITED INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT ON 50.98 ACRES; "C -2" COMMUNITY BUSINESS DISTRICT ON 11.53 ACRES; PROVIDING FOR DEVELOPMENT OF THIS TRACT OF LAND TO BE DEVELOPED ACCORDING TO APPROVED PLANS; AMENDING THE CITY OF EULESS ZONING MAP AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE: BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EULESS, TEXAS, THAT: IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that the Official District Zoning Map of the City of Euless, Texas, being a part of Ordinance No. 347, be amended to read as follows: "That the zoning classification of the following described property now zoned "R-l" Single Family Dwelling District be changed as follows: TRACT 1 11R -1" Single Family Dwelling to "C -2" Community Business BEING a tract of land situated in the A. Bradford Survey, Abstract No. 152 and the Solomon Huitt Survey, Abstract No. 705 in Tarrant County, Texas, and being more fully described by metes and bounds as follows: BEGINNING at a point for corner in the North line of Spur 350, said point being in the East line of said 110 acre tract of land set aside to Mamie Maud Alexander and Jesse Belle Eden out of the Estates of M. A. Jernigan as partitioned by the Seventeenth District Court of Tarrant County, Texas, at its October term, 1919, Cause No. 50343; THENCE along the North line of Spur 350 and a curve to the right having a radius of 1319.39 feet, a distance of 477.07 feet to the end of said curve; THENCE continuing along the North line of Spur 350, North 580 19' 31" West, 101.75 feet to the beginning of a curve to the left having a radius of 829.20 feet; THENCE along said curve to the left, and the North line of Spur 350, 476.34 feet to a point for corner; THENCE North 00' 07' 57" East, 553.17 feet, more or less, to a point for corner in the centerline of a 33 foot wide Sinclair Gas Line Easement; THENCE East along the centerline of said Sinclair Gas Line Easement 982.77 feet to a point for corner in the East line of said 110 acre tract; THENCE South 000 07' 57" West along the East line of said 110 acre tract, 902.46 feet, more or less, to the Place of Beginning and containing 16.024 acres, more or less. "R -1" Single Family Dwelling to "L -1" Limited Industrial BEING a tract of land situated in the A. Bradford Survey, Abstract No. 152 and the Solomon Huitt Survey, Abstract No. 705 in Tarrant County, Texas, and being more fully described by metes and bounds as follows: BEGINNING at a point for corner in the East line of said 110 acre tract, said point also being in the centerline of a 33 foot wide Sinclair Gas Line Easement, said point also being 902.36 feet, more or less, North of the North line of Spur 350; THENCE West along the centerline of said 33 foot wide Sinclair Gas Line Easement, 982.77 feet to a point for corner; THENCE North 000 07' 57" East, 2,260 feet to a point for corner; THENCE East, 982.77 feet to a point for corner in the East line of said 110 acre tract; THENCE South 000 07' 57" West along the East line of said 110 acre tract, 2,260 feet to the Place of Beginning and containing 50.98 acres, more or less. "R -1" Single Family Dwelling to "R -5" Multi - Family BEING a tract of land situated in the Solomon Huitt Survey, Abstract No. 705 and the A. Bradford Survey, Abstract No. 152 in Tarrant County, Texas, and being more fully described by metes and bounds as follows: BEGINNING at a point for corner in the East line of said 110 acre tract, said point being 915 feet South of the South line of Harwood Road; THENCE South 000 07' 57" West along the East line of said 110 acre tract, 955 feet to a point for corner; THENCE West 982.77 feet, more or less, to a point for corner; - 2 - THENCE North 000 07' 57" East, 1,870 feet to a point for corner in the South line of Harwood Road; THENCE East along the South line of Harwood Road, 250 feet to a point for corner; THENCE South 000 07' 57" West, 215 feet to a point for corner; THENCE East and parallel to the South line of Harwood Road, 240 feet to a point for corner in the centerline of a proposed 80 foot wide road; THENCE South 000 07' 57" West along the centerline of said proposed 80 foot wide road, 700 feet to a point for corner; THENCE East 492.77 feet to the Place of Beginning and containing 30.65 acres, more or less. TRACT 2 "11-1" Single Family Dwelling to "C -2" Community Business BEING a tract of land situated in the A. Bradford Survey, Abstract No. 152 in Tarrant County, Texas, and being more fully described by metes and bounds as follows: BEGINNING at an iron rod in the South line of Harwood Road (a 50 - foot wide road), same point being in the East line of a 110 acre tract of land set aside to Mamie Maud Alexander and Jesse Belle Eden out of the estate of M. A. Jernigan as partitioned by the Seventeenth District Court of Tarrant County, Texas, at its October term, 1919, in Cause No. 50343, same also being 1,809 feet West of the Centerline of County Road No. 3011; THENCE South 000 07' 57" West along the East line of said 110 acre tract, 915 feet to a point for corner; THENCE West 492.77 feet to a point for corner in the centerline of a proposed 80 foot wide road; THENCE North OOo 07' 57" East along the centerline of said proposed 80 foot wide road, 700 feet to a point for corner; THENCE West 240 feet to a point for corner; THENCE North 000 07' 57" East, 215 feet to a point for corner in the South right - of-way line of Harwood Road; THENCE East along the South line of Harwood Road, 732.77 feet to the Place of Beginning and containing 11.53 acres, more or less." -- 3 - 2. Any Person violating the provisions of this Ordinance, or the amendments to the Euless City Charter of 1961 hereby made, shall be deemed guilty of a Misdemeanor and shall be liable to a fine of not more than Two Hundred Dollars ($200.00), and each day such violation shall be permitted to exist shall constitute a separate offense, as provided by Ordinance No. 347 and subsequent amendments of the Euless City Charter and Statutes of the State of Texas. 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and publication as provided by the Euless City Charter and the laws of the State of Texas. PRESENTED AND GIVEN FIRST READING on the 27th day of March 1973, at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Euless, Texas; and given Second Reading, passed and approved on the 10th day of April , 1973, by a vote of 4 ayes and 0 nays at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Euless, Texas.
