AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 347,
SAME BEING THE ZONING CODE OF THE CITY OF
EULESS, TEXAS, TO REVISE AND RESTATE THE
REQUIREMENTS FOR OFF - STREET PARKING WITHIN
THE CITY OF EULESS; PROVIDING A SEVERA-
BILITY CLAUSE; AN EFFECTIVE DATE AND A
PENALTY FOR VIOLATION THEREOF.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Euless, Texas, did
refer to a special committee established for the purpose of
reviewing and recommending necessary changes to the Code of
Ordinances of the City of Euless, among other matters, a review
of Section 8 of the Zoning Code of the City of Euless, and
WHEREAS, such committee has recommended to the Council cer-
tain changes to Section 8 of the Zoning Code of the City of
Euless, Texas, and
WHEREAS, such committee and the Council agree that such
recommended changes are desirable and should be enacted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF EULESS: -

Sub - Sections 8 -200 and 8 -300 of Section 8 of Ordinance No.
347, same being the Zoning Code of the City of Euless, Texas, are
herewith amended to hereafter read as follows:
8 -200 SCHEDULE OF MINIMUM OFF- STREET PARKING FOR DWELLINGS
CONSTRUCTED PRIOR TO JUNE 22, 1976.

8 -300 SCHEDULE OF MINIMUM OFF- STREET PARKING FOR DWELLINGS
CONSTRUCTED AFTER JUNE 22, 1976.
A minimum of two off - street parking spaces shall be provided
for each dwelling unit for single- family, two - family, or
multiple- family dwellings in "R -1," "R -2," "R -3," "R -4,"
"R -5," "C -1," "C -2," or Mobile Home Districts.

Sub - section (1) of Sub - Section 8 -500 of Section 8 of Ordinance
No. 347, same being the Zoning Code of the City of Euless, Texas,
is herewith amended to hereafter read as follows:
8 -500 GENERAL PROVISIONS
(1) An off - street parking space shall be a striped area of
not less than one hundred sixty -two (162) square feet,
measuring approximately nine (9) by eighteen (18) feet,
not located on a public street or alley. Such parking
space, aisles and maneuvering areas shall have an all -
weather surfacing, enclosed or unenclosed, and shall
be connected by an all- weather surfaced driveway to a
street or alley. Head -in parking adjacent to a public
street or alley wherein the maneuvering of the vehicle
in parking or leaving a parking space is done on a
public street or alley shall not be classified as off -
street parking in computing any parking requirements
herein specified; however, this does not apply to "R -1"
and "R -2" Zoning Districts.

Sub - Section 8 -501 of Section 8 of Ordinance No. 347, same
being the Zoning Code of the City of Euless, Texas, is herewith
amended to hereafter read as follows:
8 -50.1 SPECIAL OFF - STREET PARKING PROVISIONS - RESIDENTIAL
DISTRICTS.
No required off - street parking space shall be located in the
required front yard in Multiple- Family Districts. Dwellings
in Single - Family, Two - Family, or Mobile Home Districts can
utilize the required front yard for off - street parking. In
new dwellings requiring two off - street parking spaces, the
parking area shall have minimum dimensions of eighteen (18)
by eighteen (18) feet.

Sub - Section 8 -502 of Section 8 entitled "Special Off - Street
Parking Provisions - Non - Residential Districts," of Ordinance No.
347, same being the Zoning Code of the City of Euless, Texas, is
herewith deleted in its entirety.

Severability. The provisions of this Ordinance shall be,
and they are, declared to be severable, and should any portion
thereof be declared to be invalid for any reason by a Court of
competent jurisdiction, such holding shall not effect the remain-
ing portions hereof.

Penalty for Violation. Any person, firm or corporation
violating any of the terms and provisions of this Ordinance shall
be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof
shall be fined in an amount not to exceed $200.00. Each such
violation shall be deemed a separate offense and shall be punish-
able as such hereunder.
VII
Effective Date. This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and publication as provided by
the Euless City Charter and the laws of the State of Texas.
PRESENTED AND GIVEN FIRST READING at a regular meeting of
the Euless City Council on the 25th day of May, 1976; GIVEN SECOND
READING, PASSED AND APPROVED at a regular meeting of the Euless
City Council on the 22nd day of June, 1976.
