AN ORDINANCE APPROVING CERTAIN ELECTRIC
POWER RATE SCHEDULES AS FILED WITH THE
CITY SECRETARY OF THE CITY OF EULESS,
TEXAS, AND PROVIDING CONDITIONS UNDER
WHICH SUCH RATE SCHEDULES MAY BE CHANGED,
MODIFIED, AMENDED OR WITHDRAWN, DECLARING
THAT SUCH RATE SCHEDULES ARE TO BE COMPLIED
WITH BY TEXAS POWER & LIGHT COMPANY, THE
UTILITY FRANCHISED TO DO BUSINESS IN THE
CITY OF EULESS, TEXAS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EULESS,
TEXAS:
I.
The consumer rate schedule for electric, power charges to
the citizens and power consumers in the City of Euless, Texas,
as set forth in the schedule of rates and service regulations
filed with the City Secretary of the City of Euless on May 17,
1977, are hereby approved as schedules of rates and service
regulations under which Texas Power & Light is authorized to
collect charges from its customers for the sale of electric
power and energy within the corporate limits of Euless until
such time as said rate schedules and service regulations may
be changed, modified, amended or withdrawn with the approval
of the Euless City Council.
II.
The filing of the rate schedules and service regulations
and the approval of same by the City Council, in the manner
herein provided, shall constitute notice to the consumers of
electricity, within the City, of the availability and applica-
tion of such rate schedules and service regulations.
III.
Such rate schedules and service regulations shall become
effective on June 26, 1977, and shall apply to all bills ren-
dered after June 26, 1977.
IV.
In the event Texas Power & Light Company, while the above
provided for rates be in effect, voluntarily or involuntarily,
places into effect a lower rate for any customers served by it
within any Class A city, such lower rate shall automatically
become the rate charged to like customers within the City of
Euless, Texas. Texas Power & Light Company shall, at the time
such reduced rate becomes applicable, further credit the ac-
count of each such customer an amount equal to the difference
between the rate herein provided for and such reduced rate, if
any, from June 26, 1977.
PRESENTED AND PASSED ON FIRST READING on the 24th day of
May, 1977, at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City
of Euless, Texas.
PRESENTED AND PASSED ON SECOND AND FINAL READING on the
14th day of June , 1977, at a regul ar meeting of
the City Council of the City of Euless, Texas.
