AN ORDINANCE RECEIVING AND ANNEXING TERRITORY ADJACENT
AND CONTIGUOUS TO THE VILLAGE OF EULESS, TEXAS, AND
PROVIDING THAT SUCH AREA SHOULD BE MADE A PART OF SAID
VILLAGE AND THAT THE OWNER AND INHABITANTS THEREOF
SHALL BE ENTITLED TO ALL OF THE :PRIVILEGES OF OTHER
CITIZENS OF SAID VILLAGE AND BE BOUND BY THE ACTS AND
ORDINANCES NOW IN EFFECT AND TO BE HEREINAFTER ADOPTED;
AND AMENDED AND CORRECTING THE OFFICIAL BOUNDARIES OF
SAID VILLAGE AS HERETOFORE ADOPTED.
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the Acts of 1.953,
53rd Legislature, page 367, Chapter 93, codified as Article 974 —G,
C.. C. Cottingham, owner of Real Property, h.erei nafter described
has made application as by law provided to the Mayor and the
Board. of Aldermen of the Village of Euless,, Texas, requesting
annexation of the area described herein to said Village, such
area being more fully described a.s follows:
A tract of land containing 15898 acres of land,
and being in the A. J. Huitt survey in Tarrant
County, Texas, and being described by metes
and bounds as follows
BEGINNING 462 varas east and 383 varas south
of the north -west corner of said A. J. Huitt
survey;
THENCE south 200.3 varas;
THENCE; west 452,2 varas to the east Line of
the Arlington and Mansfield Highway;
THENCE, north 1 degree east with the east line
of said highway 200.3 varas;
THENCE, east 44806 varas to the place of beginning,
containing 15.98 acres of land., same being out of
the A. J. Huitt survey and being the same property
as heretofore conveyed to grantors herein by R0 Ho
Scott, by deed dated. June 6th 1945 as shown recorded
in Vol. 1713 page 6 of the Deed Records of Tarrant
County, Texas.
WHEREAS , the Board of Aldermen as provided by la.w. duly and
legally considered the said petition, and it appearing to the
Board of Aldermen of the Village of Euless, Texas, that all
statutory requirements in connection with said application have
been fulfilled and that all of said area is adjacent and contiguous
to the present Village limit line of the Village of Euless, Texas,
and it is not more than one—half mile in width. wlzi ch the Board of
Aldermen so finds
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE VILLAGE OF
EULESS; TEtYAS:

THAT., the property hereinabove described lying adjacent and
contiguous to the existing limits to the Village of Euless, Texas,
be and is hereby annexed and brought within the corporate limits
and made an integral part of Euless, Texas-

THAT, the owner and inhabitants of the area herein annexed
be and are hereby entitled to all the rights and privileges of
other owners and Citizens of said Village and bound by all of the
acts and ordinances made in conformit,,, thereto, now and in full
force and effect and as may be hereinafter adopted.,

T.H.AT, the official map and boundaries of the Village of
Euless, Texas, as .hereinbefore ,adopted and amended, be corrected
and amended, so as to include the aforementioned described. area.
and. territory as a. part of the Village of Euless, Texas.

THIS ordinance shah become effective from and after its
passage and approval by the iiayor and duly attested by the Village
Secretary.
ADOPTED this 6th day of July, A. D. 1953.
