TO THE VILLAGE OF EULESS, TEXAS, AND PROVIDING THAT SUCH AREA SHOULD BE A PART OF SAID VILLAGE, AND THAT THE INHABITANTS THEREOF SHALL BE ENTITLED TO ALL THE RIGHTS AND PRIVILEGES OF OTHER CITIZENS OF THE VILLAGE, AND BOUND BY ACTS AND 0RDINANCES HERETOFORE ENACTED AND AS AMENDED; AND AMENDING AND CORRECTING THE OFFICIAL BOUNDARIES OF EULESS, TEXAS, AS HERETOFORE ADOPTED AND AMENDED, AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, pursuant to Article 974 of the 19125 Revised Civil Statutes of Texas, Willie Lee Byer s, and others, inhabitants and owners of the area herein described, -vTho are qualified. to vote for members of the State Legislature, have heretofore filed with the Mayor and Board of Aldermen of the Village of Euless, Texas, their - petition with M'ap and Plat attached thereto, requesting annexation of the area described therein, to the Village of Euless, Texas, such area described therein, to the Village of Euless, Texas, such area being described as folloi�rs: SI itiATED in Tarrant County, Texas, and being a 100 - acre tract out of the James P. Halford Survey in Tarrant County, Texas, wiZi.ch said tract is described in deed. dated January 5, 1904, recorded in Vol. 1 88, page 144, Deed Records of Tarrant County, Texas, ez ecuted bar Louis L. Kuntz and wife, Laura. R. Kuntz, to Thomas P. Huffman, which ssid 100 -acre traact is described as folloi »s; BEGINNING at the Southi,Test Corner of the intersection of the Arlington-Grapevine Road No. 15'7 and the Bedford Road the present limits line of the Village of Euless, Texas, as shown on the official map of said Village; THNCE, in a Northerly direction crossing Bedford Road and continuing along the West right -of -;nay line of said. Road Nom 15'7 a distance of 950 varas; THENCE, in an Easterly direction crossing said Road No,. 157, and continuing along the North line of the 100 acre tract above described a distance of 593 -75 varas to the Northeast corner thereof; THENCE, South along the East line of said Tract 950 varas to the Southeast corner thereof and continuing across Bedford Road. to the South right- of -w,ay line of said road; TH- .9iCE, East along the South right-of-way line or Bedford Road to the place of beginning; AND WHEREAS, said petition was accompanied by an affidavit duly executed by Billy Lee Byers, lJillip Lee Byers and Jamie H. French, inhabitants of the area above described, who also executed the aforementioned petition, and are qualified to vote for members of the State Legislature, certifying that such petition contains the signatures of more than fifty percent of the qualified voters re- siding in such area who have voted. .in favor of having the said area and. the inhabitants 'thereof annexed to and become a part of the Villas e of Euless, Texas; (nd 6�HEREAS, it appearing to the Board of Aldermen of the Village Euless, Texas, that all statutory re4uiremonts in connection with said proposed annexation have been fulfi=lled and that the said area duly grouped into one territory is riot rlore 'then one --half mile in width and that all of same is adjacent to the present Village Limits of the Village of Euless, Texas, which the Board of Aldermen so finds; NOW) THEOREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERIIEN OF THE VILLAGE OF EULESS, TES AS: 1. THAT the aforementioned petition be and i s hereby ap-proved, and that the hereinafter described area and territory lying adjacent to the Village of Euless, Texas, 'be and. the same is hereby annexed to and brought within the corporate limits, and made an integral part of said Village; Said area and territory being situated in Tarrant County, Texas and is described by metes and bounds as follows: SI TED in Tarrant Count;;r, Texas, and being a 100 --acre tract out of the James P. Halford Survey in Tarrant County, Texas, which said tract is desc- L -ibed in deed dated January 5, 1904, recorded in Vol. 188, page 144, Deed Records of Tarrant County, Texas, executed by Lcuis Kuntz card wife, Laura R. Kuntz, to Thomas P. Huffman, which said 100 -acre tract iu described as follows: BEGIN%TIN;G at the Southwest Corner of the intersection of the Arlington- Grapevine Road Noe 157 and the Bedford Road the present limits line of the Village of Euless, Texas, as shown on the official map of said Village; THENCE, in a Northerly direction crossing Bedford Road and continuing along the West right-of-way line of said Road No4 15? a distance of 950 varas; THENCE, in an Easterly direction crossing said Road No. 15'7, and continuing along the North line of the 100 -acre tract above described a distance of 593.'75 varas to the Northeast corner thereof; 2 T THENCE, South along the East line of said Tract 950 varas to the Southeast corner thereof and continuing across Bedford Road to the South right —of --way line of said road; THENCE East along the South right—of—way line of Bedford Road to the place of beginning; II. THAT, the inhabitants of the area and territory herein annexed to the Vi lla.ge of Euless, Texas, shall be entitled to all 'the rights and privileges of other citizens of said Village and bound by all the acts and ordinances made in conformity thereto, novT in Tull force and effect and as may be hereinafter adopted. III. 'HAT, the official map and boundaries of the Village of Euless, Texas, as .provided in Ordinance No., 10, adopted b�T the Board of Aldermen of the Village of Euless, Texas, on July 6, 1953, be corrected and amended so as to include the aforementioned described terri tory as part of said Village. IV. THIS ordinance shall become effective from and of ter its passage and approval by the Ivilayor duly attested by the Village Secretary. ADOPTED this 6th day of July, A.D 1953 APPROVED: i- MAYOR
