AN ORDINANCE RECEIVING AND ANNEXING TERRITORY
ADJACENT AND CONTIGUOUS TO THE VILLAGE OF EULESS,
TEXAS, AND PROVIDING THAT SUCH AR EA SHOULD BE MADE
A PART OF SAID VILLAGE AND THAT THE OWNER AND IN-
HABITANTS THEREOF SHALL BE ENTITLED TO ALL OF THE
PRIVILEGES OF OTHER CITIZENS OF SAID VILLAGE AND
BE BOUND BY THE ACTS AND ORDINANCES NOW IN EFFECT
AND TO BE HEREINAFTER. ADOPTED; AND AMENDING AND
CORRECTING THE OFFICIAL BOUNDARIES OF SAID VILLAGE
AS HERETOFORE ADOPTED.
WHEREAS, pursuant to, the provisions of the Acts of 1953,
53rd' Legislature, page 367, Chapter 93, codified as Article 9'74 --G,
J. S. Anderson, Mary A. Anderson and Casa Loma Realty Co., a
Corporation, owners of Real property,. hereinafter described., -have
made application as by law provided to the Mayor and. the Board
of Aldermen of the Village of Euless, Texas, requesting annexation
of the area described herein to said Village, such area being more
fully described as follows:
SITUATED in Tarrant County, Texas, and being
a pant of 80 acre tract of land deeded. to
J. S. Anderson as shown in Vol.. 1747 page 235
Deed: Records of Tarrant County, Te °as, described
by Metes and Bounds:
BEGINNING at a point in the West line of the
Farm to Market Road No. 157, 672 North of the
South line of the Terrell Jasper Survey.
THENCE, West 1741 an iron pin;
THENCE, North 8641 (00 061 W) an iron pin;
TH�VCE, East 1771 (S-880 371) an iron pin;
THENCE, South with the West line of Farm to
Market Road 860 to the place of beginning.
WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen as provided by law, duly and
legally considered the said petition, and it appearing, to the
Board of Aldermen of the Village of Euless, Texas, that all
statutory requirements in connection with said application have
been fulfilled and that all of said area is adjacent and contiguous
'to the present Village limit line of the Village of Euless, Texas,
and it is not more than one-half mile in width which the Board of
Aldermen so finds.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE VILLAGE OF
EULESS, TEXAS:
1.
THAT, the property her einabove described lying adjacent and
contiguous to the existing limits to the Village of Euless, Texas,
be and is hereby annexed and brought within the corporate limits
and made an integral part of Euless, Texas.
2.
THAT, the owner and inhabitants of the area herein annexed
be and are hereby entitled to all the rights and privileges of
other owners and Citizens of said Village and bound by all of the
acts and ordinances made in conformity thereto, now and in full
force and effect and as may be hereinafter adopted.
3.
THAT, the official map and boundaries of the Village of
Euless, Texas, as hereinbefore adopted and amended, be corrected
and amended, so as to include the aforementioned described area
and territory as a part of the Village of Euless, Texas.
4.
THIS ordinance shall become effective from and after its
passage and approval by the Mayor and duly attested by the Village
Secretary.
ADOPTED this 5th day of October, A. D. 1953.
