AN ORDINANCE FIXING CHARGES OF LONE
STAR GAS COMPANY, A CORPORATION, ITS
SUCCESSORS AND ASSIGNS, FOR FURNISHING
AND SUPPLYING GAS TO THE GENERAL PUB-
LIC IN THE VILLAGE OF EULESS, TARRANT
COUNTY, TEXAS, AND THE ENVIRONS THEREOF.
WHERE S, by ordinance passed and approved on the 7th
day of December 1953, Lone Star Gas Company, a corporation, its suc-
cessors and assigns were granted a franchise to furnish and supply
gas to the general public in the Village of Euless, Tarrant County,
Texas, and the environs thereof, said ordinance likewise providing
for the payment of a fee or charge for the use of the streets, alleys
and public ways, and providing that it shall be in lieu of other fees
and charges excepting ad valorem taxes; and
WHEREAS, Lone Star Gas Company proposes to furnish
gas and gas service at the rates and charges hereinafter set out,
which are hereby found to be reasonable and just.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE VILLAGE
COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF EULESS, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. The rates to be charged by Lone Star Gas
Company, hereinafter called "Company ", for gas supplied to the
general public in the Village of Euless, Texas, hereinafter called
"Village ", and the environs thereof are hereby fixed and determined
as follows:

MINIMUM BILL: A minimum charge of One Dollar
and Fifty -three Cents ($1.53) per meter per month
will be made even though customer shall not have
used sufficient gas in such month to make the amount
of the bill equal to such One Dollar and Fifty -three
Cents.
DISCOUNT - PROMPT PAYMENT: A deduction of
ten per cent (10 %) will be allowed for payment of
bill within ten (10) days from the date of monthly
billing.
The above rates and charges are applicable to each domestic
and commercial consumer per month or for any part of a month for
which gas is used at the same location.
The net rates shall apply when bills are paid within ten (10)
days from the date of the bill, otherwise the gross rates shall be
paid.
Company may also charge and collect for setting, resetting
and changing meters, or connecting, disconnecting or resuming ser-
vice upon special request of consumers, or when service has been
discontinued because of failure of any consumer to pay any bill or
to comply with Company's reasonable rules and regulations, an
amount not to exceed the cost of labor and material used in performing
such work, plus ten per cent (1016) additional thereon, provided such
charge shall be not less than Two Dollars ($ 2. 00) .
SECTION 2, Compay shall be entitled to require from each
and every consumer of gas, before gas service is commenced, a
deposit of twice the amount of an estimated average monthly bill,
which said, deposit may be retained by Company until service is dis-
continued and all bills therefor have been paid. Company shall then
return said deposit to the consumer, together with six per cent (6 %)
interest thereon from the date of said deposit up to the date of dis-
continuance of service. Company shall be entitled to apply said
deposit, with accrued interest, to any indebtedness owed Company
by the consumer making the deposit.

SECTION 3. The rates and charges herein provided, how-
ever, shall be subject to revision and change by either the Village
or Company in the manner provided by law.
SECTION 4. Company shall file its written acceptance of
this ordinance within sixty (60) days after its final passage and ap-
proval by said Village.
