AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING RULES OF PROCEDURE IN
CONDUCTING MEETINGS OF THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN
OF THE VILLAGE OF EULESS, TEXAS; PROVIDING
FOR THE REPEAL OF ALL ORDINANCES AND RESOLU-
TIONS OR PARTS THEREOF IN CONFLICT HEREWITH
AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDEPMEN OF TIME VILLAGE OF
EULESS, TEXAS:
I.
A. All meetings of the Board of Aldermen shall be
held within the 1 i mi is of the Village of Euless.
b. The regular meetings of the Foard of Aldermen
shall be held on the lst Monday of each ?Month at 8:00 P. 1I.
o' clock, The Mayor, of his own motion, or on the application
of three Board of Aldermen, may cull special meetings by notice
to each member of the Board of Aldermen, the Secretary and the City
Attorney, served personally or Left at tl�eir usual place of abode.
C. Each member of the Board of Aldermen shall at every
meeting of the Boa.rd by entitled to one vote in person but no
proxy shall be voted on any occasion.
D. The Mayor shall preside at all imeetings of the Board
and shall with three of the board of Aldermen consti tote a, quorum
for the transaction of business; and the auorum� shall have the
power to enact such by -laws and ordinances not inconsistent with
the laws and constitution of the State of Texas, as shall be
deemed proper for the governing of the Village.
II.
A. The order of business at regular meetings of the
Board of Aldermen shall be as follows:
1. Calling meeting to order.
2. Reading of minutes of previo4s meeting or meetings.
3. Reading of bills.
4. Reading of communications.
5, Unfinished business.
G. Report of Village Secretary.
7. Report of Marshall
S. New business.
9. Adjournment.
B. At all special meetings of the Board of Aldermen, the
order of business shall be as follows:
1. Opening
2. Special order
3. Adjouriment
of business.
III
The procedure at all meetings of the Board shall be in
accordance with the provision of Roberts Rules of Order.
IV.
Al-'! ordinances and resolutions and ?Darts thereof in
conflict herewith are hereb.- repealed to the extent of the conflict
V.
This ordinance shall be in full force and effect irnmedia -ely
upon its passage and approval.
