AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND ABANDONING A PORTION OF
A PUBLIC UTILITY EASEMENT IN ARNETT ADDITION TO
THE CITY OF EULESS, TEXAS; AND DECLARING AN EMER-
GENCY AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
The City Council of the City of Euless, Texas, after careful study
and consideration, has determined that the portion of the public
utility easement, hereinafter specifically described, is not being
used by, nor useful, nor convenient to the public in general; there-
fore, it constitutes a public charge without a corresponding public
benefit, and the public would be better served and benefited by its
vacation and abandonment;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF EULESS, TEXAS:
Section 1. The portion of the public utility easement situated in
the ARNETT ADDITION to the City of Euless, Tarrant County,
Texas, particularly described in Exhibit 1, attached hereto and made
a part thereof for all intents and purposes, shall be and is the
same hereby vacated and abandoned as a public utility easement.
Section 2. By the affirmative vote of all of its members, the
City Council declares that this is an ordinance for
the immediate preservation of the public peace, property, health
and safety, and is an emergency measure within the meaning of
Article IT, Section 11, of the City Charter; and the requirement
that it be read at two meetings, as specified in such Section 11,
is hereby dispensed with.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon
its passage as provided by law.
PRESENTED AND GIVEN first and final reading on the 10th day of
January, 1978, at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City
of Euless, Texas; by a vote of 5 ayes and 0 nays and 0 abstentions.

EXHIBIT NO. 1
ALL that certain tract or parcel of land being a five foot public
utility easement along the West addition line of the Arnett Addition
to the City of Euless as filed in Volume 388 -12, Page 23, Plat Records,
Tarrant County, Texas. The centerline of said five foot public utility
easement being more particularly described as follows:
COMMENCING at the Southeast corner of Tract D of the Arnett Addition
as revised in Volume 388 -18, Page 50, Plat Records, Tarrant County,
Texas; THENCE, North 1 degree 40 minutes West, a distance of 355 feet
to a point for corner; THENCE, North 89 degrees 56 minutes West, a
distance of 75.0 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING;
THENCE, North 1 degree 40 minutes West, a distance of 98.99 feet along
the centerline of said five foot public utility easement.
