AN ORDINANCE RECEIVING AND ANNEXING THE' INHABITANTS
AND TERRITORIES ADJACENT TO THE CITY OF EULESS, TEXAS,
AND PROVIDING THAT SUCH AREA SHOULD BE A PART OF THE,
CITY OF EULESS, TEXAS, AND THAT THE INHABITANTS SHALL
BE ENTITLED TO THE RIGHTS AND PRIVILEGES OF OTHER
CITIZENS OF' THE CITY OF EULESS, TEXAS, AND BOUND BY
THE ACTS AND ORDINANCES ENACTED IN PURSUANCE TO TITLE
28, CHAPTERS 1 to 10 INCLUSIVE, REVISED CIVIL STATUTES
OF TEXAS, AND AMENDING AND CORRECTTI�gG OFFICIAL BOUNDAR-
IES OF THE CITY OF EULESS, TEXAS, AS HERETOFORE ADOPTED
AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
VHEREAS, pursuant to Article 974 of the 1925 Revised Civil
Statutes of Texas, E. S. Cromer and others, inhabitants of the area
herein described and w�.-,o are qualified to vote for members of the
State Legislature, have heretofore filed with the Mayor and the City
Council of the City of Euless, Texas, their petition requesting
annexation of tine said area to the City of Euless, Texas, such area
being described as follows:
BEING situated in the H. McCoy, J. Graves, A. 1-1i. Downing,
Kitty House, JT V. Brooks, J. I- iatson and G. W. Couch Abstract
No. 278 Surveys in Tarrant County, Texas, more fallY described
as follows
BEGINNING at a point same being the Northwest corner of the
tract of land situated in Tarrant County, Texas, annexed to
the City of Euless, Texas, on March 15, 1955, pursuant to
written appliclation of Arthur E. Glenn, owner thereof, and
the provisions of Ordinance No. 34, said point being also in

the South right-of-way line of State Highway No. 186, and
continuing across said highway to the North right-of --viay
line thereof;
T:MNCE, in a Southwesterly direction along the North right- -
of --way line of said State Highway No. 183 to a point where sane
intersects the East Boundary Line of the J. Graves Survey;
THENCE, North along the East Boundary line of the said J.
Graves Survey to the North right -of -way line of County Road
No. 3091 (Pipe Line Road) in the North line of the J. Graves
Survey and the South Line of the J. 1,1atson Survey;
THETNCE, West along the North right of way line of said County
Road No. 3091 to a point in the West right of way line of
County Road No.. 3094 (Bedford - Arlington Road), where same
runs South from said County Road. No. 3091;
THENCE ", South along the West right of way line of said
County Road No. 3094 to the North right of way line of
State Highway No. 183;
THENCE, in a South�Testerly direction. along the North
Line of State Highway No. 183 to a point where same
intersects the North right of way line of County Road
No. 3005 (Durst Pipe Line Road) in the H. P,IcCoy Survey;
THENCE, in an Easterly, Northeast crly and Easterly
direction along, the North right of way line of the said

said Arthur Glenn Tract in the G. W. Couch Survey,

provi.sions of Ordinance No. 34- as aforementioned;
THENCE, North along the West Boundary line of the said
Arthur E. Glenn Tract to the place of beginning.

by E. S. Cromer, Geo.. D,. Brown anc,. i,Irs. Geo. D. Brown, inhabitants
of the areas described and tnlno are qualified to vote for members of
the State. Legislature and that by signing said affidavit certified
that said petition contains the signatures of more than fifty percent
of the qualified. voters residing in such area w«o have voted in favor
of having the said area and the inhabitants thereof anne_ec_ to and
become a. part of the City, of Euless, Texas; and

Texas, that all statutory requirements in, connection with said proposed.
annexation have been fulfil-led and that the said area duly grouped into
one territory is not more than 1/2 mile in width and that all of same
Is adjacent of the present City Limits of the City of Euless, Texas;
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CIT "f. COUNCIL OF THE CITY CF EULESS, TEXAS:
1.
THE hereinafter described territory lying adjacent to the City
of Euless, Texas, is hereby annexed and brought within the corporate
limits and made an integral part of the City of Euless, Texas, said
terr:itorlr being situated in Tarrant County, Tee as, and being de-
scribed by metes and bounds as follows;
BEING situated in the H. McCoy, i. Graves, A. NI. Downing,
Kitty House,, it V. Broods, J. 'Matson and G. W. Couch Abstract
No. 078 Surveys in Tarrant County, Te.ras, more fully d escribed
as follows;
BEGINi ;ING at a point same being the Northwest corner of the
tract of land situated in Tarrant County, Texas, annexed to
the City of Euless, Tel-Q-:3.s, on Karch 15, 1955, pursuant to
written application of Arthur E. Glenn, owner thereof, and
the provisions of Ordinance No. 34, said point being also
in the South. right -of --way line of State Hightra,y Nom 183, and
continuing across said. highway to the Norte,. right-of—,,Tay

THaTCE, in a Southwesterly direction along the North
right -of -tray line of said. State Highway No. 183 to a.
point where same intersects the East Boundary Lin,- of
the J. Graves Survey;

THENCE, in an Easterly, Northeasterly and Easterly
direction along the North right of way line of the said
Hurst Wipe Line Road to the West boundary line of the
said Arthur E. Glenn Tract in the G. W. Couch Survey,
annexed to the City of Euless, Texas, pursuant to the
provisions of Ordinance No., 34 as aforementioned;
THENCE, North along the West Boundary Line of the said.
Arthur E. Glenn Tract to the place of beginning..

THAT the inhabitants of the territory herein annexed to the
City of Euless, Texas, shall be entitled to all the rights and
privileges of other citizens and bound by all the acts and
ordinances made in conformity thereto and passed and adopted
in pursuant to Title 282 Chapters 1 to 10 inclusive, Revised
Civil Statutes of Texas,

THE official map and boundaries of the City of Euless, Texas,
to be corrected and amended so as to include the aforementioned des-
cribed territory as pa:r't of said City.

THIS ordinance stall become effective from and after its
passage and approved.
ADOPTED this 26th day of March, A. D. 1955.
