AN ORDINANCE RECEIVING AND ANNEXING TERRITORY ADJACENT
AND CONTIGUOUS TO THE CITY. OF EULESS, TEXAS, AND PRO-
VIDING THAT SUCH AREA SHALL BECOME A PART OF SAID CITY
AND THAT T'HE OWNER AND INHABITANTS THEREOF SHALL BE
ENTITLED TO ALL OF THE PRIVILEGES OF OTHER CITIZENS OF
SAID CITY, AND BE BOUND BY THE ACTS AND ORDINANCES NOW
IN EFFECT AND TO BE HEREINAFTER ADOPTED; FURTHER PRO-
VIDING FOR AMENDING AND CORRECTING THE OFFICIAL BOUND-
ARIES OF SAID CITY AS HERETOFORE ADOPTED AS AMENDED,
AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of pacts of 1953, 53rd Legis-
lature, page 367, Chapter 93, codified as Article 974 -G, George W.
Pirtle, A. B. Carter, James S. Hudson and A. D. Hudson, Jr.,
owners of Rpal Property, hereinafter described, have made application
as by law provided to the Mayor and the City Council of the City of
Euless, Texas, requesting annexation to the City of Euless, Texas,
of a tract of land consisting of 995 acres more or less, situated
in the H. McCoy Survey, Patent No. 539, Vol. 35, and a part of
the Hamilton -Hust Survey, Patent No. 2118, Vol. 33, described by
metes and bounds as follows.
EXHIBIT "A"
FIRST TRACT.
A tract of land situated in Tarrant County, Texas, out
of the H. McCoy 160 -acre Survey patented to Henson. McCoy,
Patent No. 5393 Vol. 35, and a part of the Hamilton Hust
Survey, (sometimes known as Hurst Surveyi, Patent No. 218,
Vol. 33, this tract being more particula.rl.y described
by metes and bounds as follows
BEGINNING at the northeast corner of the said H. McCoy
Survey; `
THENCE South with the east line of said McCoy Survey
629 varas to the southeast corner of an 8,62 acre tract
of land deeded to H. li. Chapman by D. J. Warren, et ux,
on the 19th day of November, 1901, said deed being of
record in Book 163, page 294, Deed Records of Tarrant County,
Texas;
THENCE,', West 612 varas, a pipe the Southwest corner of said
8.62 acre tract;
THENCE North 79.5 varas a pipe the northwest corner of said
8.62 acre tract;
THENCE West passing the east line of the Hamilton Hust
Survey and west line of Henson J "cCoy Survey at 338 varas,
in all 413 varas a pipe the northwest corner of a 73
acre tract of land deeded to D. J. and C. T. Warren by
H. M. Chapman, et ux, as shown in Book 123, page 329.
Deed Records of Tarrant County, Texas;
THENCE North 549.5 varas to the north line of said Hust
Survey, said point being the northwest corner of a
12.5 acre tract of land. deeded to H. Iii. Chapman by
W. W. Trippett on the first day of March, 189'7
said deed being of record in Book 123, page 285,
Deed Records of Tarrant County, Texas;
THENICE, East passing the northwest corner of said
McCoy Survey at 75 varas, in all 1025 varas to the
place of beginning;
SAVE AND EXC!i2T two tracts described as follows:
(a) 9 acres of land described as follows:
BEGINNING at a point in the North boundary line
of the above' described tract of land, which is 30 feet
East of the Northwest corner of same;
THENCE, East along the North boundary line of said
tract approximately 649 feet to fence corner;
THENCE in a. Southwesterly direction with said fence
and, if necessary, continuing in the same direction
with the Southwesterly projection of said fence line,
in all a sufficient distance so that there will be
cut off and included within the excepted tract of
land. being described 9 acres of land;
THENCE West to a point which is 30 feet East of the
West line of the hereinabove described tract of land;
THENCE North parallel with the West line of said tract
to the .place of beginning, -- this tract so excepted
herefrom containing 9 acres of land.
(b) 31 acres, more or less, out of the H. McCoy 160
acre Survey, patented to Henson McCoy by Patent No.
539, Vol. 35, this tract being more particularly
described as follows:
BEGINNING at the Northeast corner of said H. McCoy
Survey;
THENCE South with the East line of said McCoy Survey
324 varas to point in East line of said survey;
THENCE West parallel with North line of said I °.'cCoy
Survey 540.1 varas to the Southwest corner of this
tract;
THENCE North parallel with the East line of said McCoy
Survey 324 varas to point in North line of said llicCoy
Survey;
THENCE East with the North line of said McCoy Survey
540.1 varas to the place of beginning.

the south boundary line of First Tract described above;

'Fact 347.6 varas to a Bois D'Arc stake in the west
line of the road;
THENCE South with the west line of said road 90.8
varas to a Bois D' Arc stake in the north line of highway
No. 10;
THENCE with the northerly line of said highway South 66
degrees 5C minutes West 377.8 varas to the place of
beginning, containing 10.14 acres more or less out of
said Henson McCoy Survey, as per plat attached hereto,
AN D,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the -City of Euless, Texas, as
provided by law has received said petition and duly and legally
considered the same, and it appearing to the Council of said City,
that all statutory requirements in connection with said application
have been fulfilled, and that said area is adjacent and contiguous
to the City of Euless, Texas, and is not more than one -half mile
in width, on which not more than three qualified voters reside,
all of which the Council so finds;
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EULESS, TEXAS:
1.
THAT, the property hereinabove, described, being adjacent and
contiguous to the City Limits of Euless, Texas, be and is hereby
annexed and brought within the corporate limits of the City of
Euless, Texas, and is hereby made an integral part thereof.
2.
THAT, the owners and inhabitants of the
entitled to all the rights and. privileges
property owners of said City, and be bound
ordinances made in conformity thereto, now
and that which may be hereafter adopted.
3.

THE official map and boundaries of the City of Euless, Texas, as
heretofore adopted and amended, is hereby amended so as to include the
aforementioned described area and territory as a part of the City
of Euless, Texas.

THIS ordinance shall become effective and be in full force and
effect from and after its passa:_e and approval by the Miayor, and
duly attested by the City Secretary.
