AN ORDINANCE RECEIVING AND ANNEXING TERRITORY ADJACENT
AND CONTIGUOUS TO THE CITY OF EULESS, TEXAS, PROVIDING
THAT SUCH AREA STALL BECOME A PART OF SAID CITY AND
THAT THE OWNER AND INHABITANTS THEREOF SHALL BE ENTITLED
TO ALL OF THE PRIVILEGES OF OTHER CITIZENS OF SAID CITY,
AND BE BOUND BY THE ACTS AND ORDINANCES .NOW IN EFFECT
AND TO BE HEREINAFTER ADOPTED; FURTHER PROVIDING FOR
AMENDING AND CORRECTING THE OFFICIAL BOUNDARIES OF SAID
CITY AS HERETOFORE ADOPTED AS AMENDED, AND PROVIDING FOR
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the Acts of 1953, 53rd
Legislature, page 367, C11a.pter 93, codified as Article 974. -G
Emory Morris and wire Irene R, Morris, owners of real property as
herein described have made application as by law provided to the
Mayor and City Council of the City of Euless, Texas, requesting
annexation to the City of Euless, Texas, of a tract of land
consisting of 146.3 acres more or less, situated in the Hamilton
Hust Survey, Abstract No, 657, Tarrant County, Texas, described
by metes and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at a point in a west corporate limit line of Euless,
Texas, same being the west line of a certain tract owned by
Pirtle, et a1., annexed February 24, 1956, by Ordinance No
42, said point being in the south line of Pipe Line Road
No. 3091; o
THENCE, south 1 001 east following along the present west
corporate limit line of Euless, Texas, 1530...56 feet, more
or less, to a present corner in said corporate limits,
same being also an el corner of this 146.3 -.acre tract;
THENCE west 248.89 feet to a point for corner;
THENCE south 10001 east 1154,44 feet to a point for corner
located in the south line of Hurst -Pipe Line Road No. 3005;
THENCE south 890301 west, following along the south line
of said Road No. 3005,, 2216,.67 feet to a point for corner
located in the Crest line of the Hamilton Hust Survey,
Abstract Non 657;
THENCE north following along the west boundary line of the
Hamilton Hust Survey, Abstract No, 657, same being also
the east boundary line of the J. W. Haynes Survey, Abstract
No, 770, 2685 feet, more or less, to a, point for corner
located in the south line of Pipe Line Road No, 3091;
THENCE east, following along the south line of said Road
Noy, 3091, 2441.67 feet to the place of beginning.
WHEREAS, the City Council of tine City of Euless, Texas, as
provided by law has received such petition and duly and legally
considered the same, and it appearing to the Council of said City
that all statutory requirements in connection witli sz-aid application
have been fulfilled and that said area is adjacent and contiguous
to the City of Euless, Texas, and is not more than one,half mile
in width on which not more than three qualified voters reside,
all of which the Council so finds;
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EULESS, TEXAS:

THAT the ?property hereinabove described being adjacent and
contiguous to the City Limits of Euless, Texas, be and is hereby
annexed and brought within the corporate limits of the City of
Euless, Texas, and is hereby made an integral part thereof.

THAT the owners and inhabitants of the area herein annexed be
entitled to all the rights and privileges of other citizens and
property owners of said City, and be bound by all of the acts and
ordinances made in conformity thereto, now in full force.and effect
and that w --!ich may be hereafter ado.;�ted:

THAT the official map and boundaries of the City of Euless, Texas,
as heretofore adopted and amended, be and is hereby amended so as to
include the aforementioned described therein territory as part of the
City of Euless, Texas.
4.
THIS ordinance shall become effective and be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval by the Mayor, and
duly attested by the City Secretary.
ADOPTED this 9th day of April, A. D. 1956.
