AN ORDINANCE RECEIVING AND ANNEXING TERRITORY ADJACENT
AND CONTIGUOUS TO THE CITY OF EULESS, TEXAS, PROVIDING
THAT SUCH AREA SHALL BECOME A PART OF SAID CITY AND
THAT THE OWNER AND INHABITANTS THEPEOF SHALL BE ENTITLED
TO ALL OF THE PRIVILEGES OF OTHER CITIZENS OF SAID CITY
AND BE BOUND BY THE ACTS AND ORDINANCES NOW IN EFFECT
AND TO BE HEREINAFTER ADOPTED; FURTHER PROVIDING FOR
AMENDING AND CORRECTING THE OFFICIAL BOUNDARIES OF SAID
CITY AS HERETOFORE ADOPTED AS AMENDED, AND PROVIDING
FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the Acts 1953, 53rd
Legislature Page 357, Chapter 93, codified as Article 974 -G,
0. S. Dobkins of Tarrant County, Texas, owner of the real property
hereinafter described, has made application as by law provided to
the Mayor and City Council of the City of Euless, Texas, requesting
annexation to the City of Euless, Texas, of a tract of land con-
sisting of acres more or less situated in the I. Crowley
and A. Barnard Surveys in Tarrant County, Texas, the description
thereof by metes and bounds being as per the following:
BEGINNING at a point in the South right -of -way Line of
State highway No. 183 and the Eastern City Limit Line
of the City of Euless, Texas;
T-1ENCE, East along said South right --of -way Line to its
intersection with the East right -of-way Line of County
Road No. 3011, running North therefrom;
THENCE, North along the East right --of -way Line of County
Road No. 3011 to a point 3269.44 feet South of the
North Boundary Line of the A. Barnard Survey, Abstract
No. 107, said point being the Southwest Corner of a 183
acre tract of land owned by applicant, Searcy Dobkins;
THENCE, East along the South Boundary Line of said 183
acre tract; 2053 feet to the most Westerly Southeast
Corner thereof;
THENCE, North following along the most Westerly East
Boundary Line of said Tract 475 feet to an E1 for Corner;
THENCE, East following the most Northerly South Line of
said Tract 316.67 feet, more or less to the most Northerly
Southeast Corner thereof;
THENCE, North following along the most Easterly East Boundary
Line of said tract 2869.44 feet, more or less, to the North-
east Corner thereof in the North Boundary Line of the
said A. Barnard Survey, and the south Boundary Line
of the I. Crowley Abstract No. 322 Survey;
THENCE, West along said Survey Line to a point 1569.44 -
feet from the Southwest Corner of the said I. Crowley
Survey, said point being the Southeast Corner of a Fifty
(50) acre tract situated in the Io Crowley Survey, also
owned by the said SearcyDobkins;
THENCE, North along the East boundary line of said tract
1411.11 feet to the Northeast Corner thereof;
THENCE, West along the North boundary line of said tract
1569.44 feet to the West Boundary Line of the I. Crowley
Survey;
THENCE, South along the West Line of the 1. Crowley Survey,
being also the East Line of the R. Crowley Survey to the
South Boundary Line of the 1. Crowley Survey, and continu-
ing across County Road No. 3011 running South to the West
right --of --way line thereof;
THENCE, South along the West right -of -way line of said
Road to the North right -of —way line of State Highway No.
183;
THENCE, West along the North right --of "way line of State
Highway Number 183 to the present Eastern City Limit Line
of the City of Euless, Texas, and continuing South along
said City Limit Line to the place of beginning,
as per copy of plat attached hereto and made a part hereof; and
11MEREAS, the City Council of Euless, Texas, as provided by
law has received said petition and duly and legally considered the
same, and it appearing to the Council of said City, that all statutory
requirements in connection with said application have been fulfilled
and that said area is adjacent and contiguous to the City of Euless,
Texas, and is not more than one --half mile in width in which riot
mn.re than three qualified voters reside, all of which the Council
so finds.
TEXAS:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EULESS,

THAT, the property hereinabove described and as shown on
the plat attached hereto, being adjacent and contiguous to the City
Limits of Euless, Texas, be and is t.ereb;y- annexed and brought within
the Corporate Limits of the City of Euless, Texas, and is hereby
made an integral part thereof.

THAT, the owner

may be hereinafter adopted,

THAT, the official map and boundaries of the City of Euless,
Texas, as heretofore adopted and amended be and is hereby amended
so as to include the aforementioned described therein territory
as part of the City of Euless, Texas.
4.
THIS ordinance shall become effective and be in full force
and effect from and after its passage and approval by the Mayor,
and duly attested by the City Secretary.
