AN ORDINANCE RECEIVING AND ANNEXING TERRITORY ADJACENT
AND CONTIGUOUS TO THE CITY OF EULESS, TEXAS, PROVIDING
THAT SUCH AREA SHALL BECOME A PART OF SAID CITY AND
THAT THE OWNER AND INHABITANTS THEREOF SRALL BE ENTITLED
TO ALL OF THE PRIVILEGES OF OTHER CITIZENS OF SAID CITY
AND BE BOUND BY THE ACTS AND ORDINANCES NOW IN EFFECT
AND TO BE HEREINAFTER ADOPTED; FURTHER PROVIDING FOR
AMENDING AND CORRECTING THE OFFICIAL BOUNDARIES OF
SAID CITY AS HERETOFORE ADOPTED AS AMENDED, AND PROVIDING
FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the Acts 1953,. 53rd
Legislature Page 357, Chanter 93, codified as Article 9724 -,G•,
Kate Scott, a feme sole, of Tarrant County, Texas, owner of the
real property hereinafter described, has made application as by
law provided to the Mayor and City Council of the City of Euless,
Texas, requesting annexation to.the City'of Euless, Texas, of
a tract of land consisting of six (6) acres -sore or less sit-
uated in the W. H. Jasper Survey, in Tarrant County, Texas, the
description thereof by metes and bounds being as per the follow -
ing:
BEGINNING- at a point in the west Right -of -Way line in
F. M. Highway No. 157 (West City Limit Line) where same
intersects with the north Right -of -Way line of the Bedford -
Euless Road, County Project No. 3020;
THENCE West "along the north Right -of -Way line of the
Bedford- Euless Road, 282 varas, more or less, to the South-
east corner of a six (6) acre tract of land, same being
a part of a fifty-three ( 53 ) acre tract as is described
in a Warranty Deed, dated August 15, 19369 recorded in
Volume 1303, Page 249, Deed Records, Tarrant County, Texas;
THENCE North along the East boundary line of said six (6)
acre tract 238.5 varas, more or less, to the Northeast
corner thereof;
THENCE West along the north boundary line of said six (6)
acre tract 142 varas, more or less, to the Northwest
corner thereof;
THENCE South along the west boundary line of said tract
to the Southwest corner thereof "at the north right- of-way
line of the Bedford- Euless Road, and continuing South
across said road to the South Right -.of -way line thereof;
THENCE East along the south Right -of -Way line of said road
to the West Right -of. -Way line of F. M. Highway No. 157, and
continuing North along the said west Right -of -Way line to
the place of beginning, as per plat attached hereto marked
EXHIBIT "All.
WHEREAS, the City Council of Euless, Texas, as provided
by law, has received said petition and duly and legally consider-
ed the same, and it appearing to the Council of Said City, that
all statutory requirements in connection with said application
have been fulfilled and that said area is adjacent and contigu-
ous to the City of Euless, Texas, and is not more than one -half
mile in width on which not more than three qualified voters
reside, all of which the Council so finds.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EULESS,
TEXAS:
1.
THAT, the property hereinabove described and as shown on the
plat attached hereto, being adjacent and contiguous to the City
Limits of Euless, Texas, be and is hereby annexed and brought
within the Corporate Limits of the City of Euless, Texas, and is
hereby made an integral part thereof.

T11AT, the owner and inhabitants of the area herein annexed
be entitled to all the rights and privileges of other Citizens
and property owners of said City, and be bound by all of the
acts and ordinances .jade in conformity thereto, now in full
force and effect and that which may be hereinafter adopted.

THAT, the official map and boundaries of the City of
Euless, Texas, as heretofore adopted and amended be and is
hereby amended so as to include the aforementioned described
therein territory as part of the City of Euless, Texas.
4.
THIS ordinance shall become effective and be in full force
and effect from and after its passage and approval by the Mayor,
and duly attested b`y/ the City Secretary. r
