WHEREAS, the City of Euless, Texas, by reason of its
close proximity to the Amon Carter Fort Worth International
Airport and Industrial and Commercial Establishments situated
in the eastern part of Tarrant County, City of Dallas and the
Western portion of Dallas County, engaged in matters vital to
the defense of our nation, and other similar establishments
now under construction and contemplated to be located and
constructed in such area, has brought about a rapid and material
increase in population in said City and its environ; and
WHEREAS, many Citizens in the area aforementioned employed
in such establishments by reason of lack of sufficient public
transportation, to enable them to conveniently reach such places
of employments are compelled to use private 'Motor Vehicles for
such Purpose, thereby creatiag a safety hazard over roads and
Highways used by said Citizens in going to and from their res-
pective places of employment, on which sufficient protection to
the General Public using said roads and highways is unavailable
at this time; and
WHEREAS in the best interest of the health, safety, and
general welfare of the Citizens of Euless, its environs and
the public in general traversing the roads and highways hereinafter
described, the City Council of the City of Euless, deems it
advisable to place such roads and highways under its jurisdiction
for policing purposes, which the Council so finds;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDINANEC BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY of EULESS , TEX.S R
THAT, the following narAed State Highways and County Roads
in Tarrant County, Texas described, to-wit.,
BEGINNING at a point in the West right of way line
Of Fo M. 157 Road direatly 'hest Of the present Northern
City Limit Line of Euless in the North right of way line
of County Road No. 3011;
T_LMXE, North along the West right of ,ray 1_i-'le of F. M.
157 Road to the center of County Road No„ 3036;
THENCE, East along the center line of County Road No,
30116,,to the East boundary line of Tarrant County and
continuing South at such poizlt to the Solath right of
way line thereof;
THENCE, West along the South right of way line of
County Road No. 3036 to the East right of way line
of County Road No. 3116;
THENCE, South along the East right of way line of County
Road No. 3116 to the North right of way line of County
Road No . 3040;
THENCE, East along the North right of way line of County
Road No, 3040 to the East '3oundary Line of Tarrant County,
continuing South across said road to the Soutii right of
way line thereof;
THENCE, West along the South right of way line of County
Road No. 3040 to the East right of way line of County
Road No - 3116;
TFIENCE, South along the East right of way line of County
Road No- 3116 to the North right of way line of State
highway No. 183;
THENCE, East along the North right of way line of State
Highway No. 183 to the Tarrant County East Boundary Line
and continuing South across said Highway to the South
right of way line thereof;
THENCE, West along the South right of way line of State
Highway No. 183 to the East right of way line of County
Road No. 3011 crossing said State Highway No. 183 at
d such point to the North right of way line thereof;
THENCE, East along the North right of way line of State
Highway No. 183 to the West right of way .line of County
Road No., 3116;
THENCE, North along the West right of way line of County
Road No. 3116 to the South right of way line of County
Road No- 3036;
THENCE, West along the South right of Bray line of County
Road No. 3036 to the East right of way line of F. M. 157
Road;
THENCE, South along the East right of way line of F. M. 157
to a point, same being the Northern City Limit Line of
Euless, Texas, in the J. P. flalford Survey and continuing
West across said road to the West right of way line thereof,
the place of beginning, as per plat attached hereto, including
all State 11- 1i-htaays and County Roads as shown within Road
Boundaries described on said plat;

BE and is hereby annexed and brought within the corporate
limits and made an integral part of the City of Euless, Texas,
and that the official map and the boundaries of the City of
Euless, Texas, as heretofore adopted and amended, be amended so
as to include the afore:neiltioned roads and highways as part of
the said City.
THAT, this ordinance shall become effective from and after
its passage and approval by the Mayor, duly attested by the City
Secretary and filed for record in the office of the County Clerk
of Tarrant County, Texas.
