HomeMy WebLinkAbout1962-04-04 (special called)161 Called Meeting Euless City Council April 4, 1962 The special called meeting of the Euless City Council was held on April 4, 1962. Present were Mayor J. S. Anderson, Councilmen Billy Byers, Bobby Fuller, H. M. Huffman, Roy Braswell, and Billy Owens. The purpose of the meeting was to canvass the votes of the General Election, City of Euless. Said election being held April 3, 1962. Visitors in attendance were Mrs. Dorothy Richards, Leeroy Nix, Troy Eubanks, Jr., Woodrow Thompson, Don Kelley, T. 0. Morrow, C. E. Hall, Grady King, John O'Brien, Ralph Skinner, Wm. S. Huston, Jr., Charles E. Webb, and William Wright. The votes as canvassed were read by the Mayor as follows: Troy Eubanks, J r. Leeroy Nix Roy F. Braswell Don M. Kelley H. M. Huffman Bobby R. Fuller Gore Canada 0. M. Curry, Jr. Void Ballots 186 150 187 180 222 235 1 1 3 A motion was made by Councilman Owens, and seconded by Councilman Huffman, that the election returns, as submitted by the Election Judge and canvassed by the City Council be approved and that three (3) men receiving the most votes be declared elected. The vote in favor was unanimous. A motion was made by Councilman Byers, and seconded by Councilman Fuller, that Resolution No. 51, certifying the election returns as read by the City Attorney, be approved and adopted.
