AN ORDINANCE RECEIVING AND ANNEXING TERRITORY
ADJACENT AND CONTIGUOUS TO THE CITY OF EULESS,
TEXAS; PROVIDING TTIAT SUCH AREA SHALL BECOME A
PART OF SAID CITY AND THAT THE OWNERS AND IN--
HABITANTS THEREOF SHALL BE ENTITLED TO ALL THE
PRIVILEGES OF OTHER CITIZENS OF SAID CITY, AND
BE BOUND BY THE ACTS AND ORDINANCES NOW IN EFFECT
AND TO BE HEREINAFTER ADOPTED; FURTHER PROVIDING
FOR AMENDING AND CORRECTING THE OFFICIAL BOUNDARIES
OF SAID CITY, AS HERETOFORE ADOPTED AS AMENDED, AND
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, pursuant to the Urovisions of the Acts o:f 1953, 53rd
Legislature, Page 357, Chapter 93, codified as Article 971.E -,G, Revised
Civil Statutes of Texas, W. A. Shumaker and wife, Zora Shumaker, of
Tarrant County, Texas, owners of the real property .hereinafter des-
cribed, having made application as by law provided to the Mayor and
City Council of the City of Euless, Texas, a tract of land consisting
of 89 acres, more or less, situated in the S. Tucker Survey, 'Tarrant
County, Texas, more fully described by metes and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at a point in the. North boundary l-ne of the S. Tucker Survey,
where same intersects Big Bear Creek, said line being also the center
line of County ;load No. 3036;
THENCE, East along the North boundary line of the Tucker Survey and. the
center line of County Road No. 3036, 758 varas to the Northwest corner
of a 1-•1/2 acre tract in the P. Everard Survey;
THENCE, South along the West line of the 1 -1/2 acre tract 84.5 varas to
its Southwest corner;
THENCE, East 108 varas to the Southeast corner of said 1 -1 /2 acre tract;
THENCE, North 84.5 varas to the Nort.hea.st corner of said tract and the
center line of County Road No. 3036;
THENCE, East along the center line of County Road No. 3036 and the North
boundary line of the P. Everard Survey to the East line of Co. Road-No-3040
THENCE, Southeasterly along the East line of County .Load No. 3040 to a.
point where same intersects the South boundary line of the P. Everard Surve-,
THENCE, West along the South boundary line of the P. Everard Survey to the
West line of County Road No. 3040;
THENCE, Northwesterly along the Ifest line of County Road No. 304.0 to a poin-
557.6 varas South of the North boundary line of the Everard Survey for
corner;
THENCE, West 637 varas to the West boundary line of the 1iverard Survey;
THENCE, South along, the West boundary line to a point where Big Hear Creek
intersects same;
THENCE, in a Northwesterlydirection along the meanderings of Big Bear
Creek to the place of beginning.
A plat of said land showing its location with respect to the City of
Euless, Texas, is attached hereto marked EXHIBIT "All.

.THAT, the property owners hereinabove described being adjacent
and contiguous to the City Limits of Euless, Texas, be and is hereby
annexed and brought within the Cori3orate Limits of said City and is
hereby made an integral part thereof.
2.
TIIAT, the owners and in.habita.nts of the area herein annexed be
entitled to a.11 of the rights and privileges of other citizens and
property owners of said City and be bound by all of the acts and
ordinances made in conformity thereto, now in full force and effect
and that which may be hereafter adopted.
3.
THAT, the official map and boundaries of the City of Euless,
Texas, as heretofore adopted and amended, be and is hereby amended so
as to include the aforementioned territory as part of the City of
Euless, Texas.
4.
THIS, ordinance shall become effective and be in full force
and effect from and after its passage and approval by the Mayor and
duly attested by the City S cretary. `^
