A Y
Did you know...
You can protect your home from fire
damage by removing Christmas lights as
soon as the holidays are over?
Dear Citizens,
You'll notice a lot
of events and talk
about trees in this
issue. From our
Historic Tree
Grove to Arbor
Daze and our annual free tree
giveaway, Euless loves trees.
First, on April 9, I encourage you to
visit Euless Heritage Park and
Museum. Andy Weinzapfel will be
presenting a program about historic
trees in our community. While at the
museum, take a look at a 1944 aerial
photograph on display. It was taken
by Earnest Millican Jr., and what 1
find most noticeable, is the lack of
trees. When you see the photo, you
will realize that almost every tree in
our city was planted.
And to continue our history of tree
planting, you will want to pick up
your free tree at this year's Arbor
Daze festival on April 23. Arbor
Daze is a one -day event this year and
will be held at the Euless Family Life
Center, but as always, you can expect
to have a great time.
