Dear Citizens, At the time of this writing, we are in the midst of a special election to fill the unexpired term due to the passing of Councilmember Glenn Porterfield. Mr. Porterfield was an elected official in Euless for fifteen years and served our community well. It will be difficult to replace someone who was irreplaceable. With three candidates in the election, there is a potential for a runoff. If you are receiving this newsletter before December 9, please monitor our web site closely for election information and candidate forums. The results will be posted online following the election. We tend to think the holidays are busy, but January is busy also. Between Parks and the Library, they are hosting a multitude of events. The winter Town Hall meeting on January 22 is a great way to learn what's going on in Euless and speak to your Council and staff directly. Bring your ideas and questions and let's make it a great 2015! Ector Dr. Traditional Tongan dances are stories sung by the singers and acted out by the dancers. Euless' cultural diversity allows us the enjoyment and preservation of these beautiful dances. The words are represented by the movements of the hands and feet. The graceful movements of the female dancers contrast with those of the males who dance with great vigor. Youth from the First Tongan Wesleyan Church will perform dances entitled Meda Mai and Honge Hifo. For more information please call 817-685-1480.
