Dear Citizens,
If you've lived in
Euless any length
of time, you've
probably heard of
the Trinity GAP
Club or visited
one of their pet
fairs. GAP stands
for Girls Awareness Program and it's a
program designed to give high school
girls a positive outlet for their time as
well as show them positive alternatives
for their lives. A major benefactor of
the GAP club has been the Euless
Animal Shelter. These young women
have made such a huge difference in
the lives of so many animals by
volunteering at the Euless Animal
Shelter, sponsoring animals and
holding numerous fund-raisers to help
pay for the upkeep of countless
abandoned animals. Their work has
resulted in the lowering of the
euthanasia rate of this shelter and it is
a fact that many dogs and cats would
not be alive today if not for their
efforts.
On September 26, they will be holding
their annual pet fair and garage sale at
Trinity High School. I encourage you to
take the opportunity to stop by and
support these amazing young women.
